Join the new world

I opened my eyes in a way that they can't see me open it. Still, I was too weak to really move. I saw a blurred vision of what was around me. I was in a middle of a barren land. I saw people in red, or at least, they looked like people in red. I tried to rub my eyes to clear my vision.

Oh no! I thought to myself. I'm all tied up in a pole.

And as I tried to look at myself, and as I felt the cold wind blowing against my bare skin, I realized I was half-naked. All I had covering my body was my underskirt, and it was already torn apart.

I felt like crying, but whatever was happening around me demanded no sign of emotion from me.

And for a moment, I remembered everything.

The death of my parents.

The fall of my country.

The battles.

Everything came back.

Even my name.

I closed my eyes again, trying to stop the tears. And I opened it slowly again. And then, my vision was clearer now. All it needed was some tears to wash out.

And I saw him come down from the skies, mounted on his two-headed dragon. He was wielding "that" scythe. That giant scythe. I remembered it.

It was once covered by my parents' blood.

I saw him, come down from his dragon. I heard them started talking.

"Your majesty." Said a lady. She was wearing a red gown, with streaks of black, and was decorated with gold head bands and bracelets.

"This is gonna be fun." Said the man with the scythe.

"We're ready when you are, Emperor." Right, I thought. He is their leader.

The Emperor nodded.

I heard the lady announce "Let the execution begin!" The people in red around me shouted their loudest.

As I saw him walk towards me, I wanted to cry. I didn't even have time to say goodbye to my friends.

And as I heard the sound of a heavy blade being dragged against the hardened soil becoming louder and louder, I just closed my eyes.
