Untitled - Chapter 2

Day 1,219, 08:28 Published in Philippines Philippines by purge0809

Cieragon's Right-Hand General has come for her? She must be someone, then. I thought. And this girl here looks familiar. The blonde long hair, the round eyes, the fair skin. Hmm...

"Chris?"

"Let's do it." Well, I needed confirmation. I have to shout back to Cieragon.

"What do you want?" I shouted back at the iron-clad lady. Her armor showed off everything Cieragonian. The red armor, with a black dragon. The dragon was painted with golden borders. Even her armor is red. The eyeshield is black.

"Her!" She shouted back.

"Why?"

"It's none of your business, slave!" Damn. One thing I don't like being called is a slave. I'm a musician. And I'm gonna kill you.

I grinned to control my anger, and not to show it off. "Well, you have to go through us, first."

"Hah! You dare to fight a general of Cieragon? You have a unique kind of courage right there. Idiotic courage. Look. All I want is the girl. I don't wanna hurt babies. Alright? So jus--"

Chris stretched his right hand down, forcing his bracer to reveal its true mechanical nature. Steel fell down, connected with each other with complete articulation, and covered Chris' whole right hand. A small spike protruded from every knuckle. I saw my friend grin, and he looked at me, signalling me to prepare as well. As I took out my guitar, I swung it and slammed it to the ground, guitar body first. from the sides of the guitar body came out two large steel blocks, and it locked. I love my hammer guitar.

She drew out her blade. It was just a standard issue Cieragon saber, but it was something to be feared of, too. Apparently, Cieragon steel is something that can destroyed by "fighting fire with fire". Nothing could break it unless it is against Cieragon steel.

She smiled slyly.

Chris and I looked at each other.

I looked at her and Chris followed suit. Our eyes met.

"Miss, I know well that you are one of Ciergon's mightiest. But then, prepare to be defeated."

"Mister guitar, you're all talk. I'm general! How could you possibl--"

"Gosh, we know!! You're the general, we got that, alright! Miss-- General Raylene, right? Don't underestimate us because if we didn't know how to fight well, we'd be dead by now, alright?"

I must have aggravated her. She's charging towards us now.

"Stay back, miss. I and Hammersmith got this", I heard Chris talk to the girl we're supposed to protect.

As the girl stayed back, Raylene charged towards Chris. His bracers and her saber met. This left her surprised. "What? It can't cut through?"

"Now you realize what our medals are, huh?" Chris smiled as he said those words.

Apparently, the standard issue saber of the Empire is made of the famed Cieragon steel, that though, is 50cm long, it is only from a .25 cm sheet. Making two large steel blocks and a mech-bracer made of Cieragon steel needed more than just a single saber. Plus, no one could have entered Cieragon's Armory. It was a highly defended place where Cieragon stored well... Their weapons. And that steel is never found it is created. No one but the Empire scientists know how to make it.

Raylene attempted for a second attack, but Chris' bracers blocked it again. Now she tried piercing through it, but it wouldn't pierce the bracer, instead it got stuck in it. Now's my chance. I'm gonna run towards them, and jump. I'm gonna land with my hammer on her saber, smashing it, and I'm gonna break the sword into two.

...

...

Success. She looked shocked.

With no more weapons with her, she escaped, leaving the words "I'll be back."

"Didn't even break a sweat. Right John?" Chris asked me.

"Yeah. I think."

"Thank you". The lady voice was from the girl we saved.

"No problem at all, miss." I replied.

"So you", looking at Chris, "are Chris, and you.. John?" She pointed at me.

"John Mendez miss. And he's Christian Graystone."

"I'm Rielle. Rielle Valene Saint-Claude."

And the revelation of her name struck me and Chris' down to the ground.
