You know, despite appearances, most brazilians respected eSA a lot. You guys have always been a great ally, despite some mistakes (most on the brazilian side that would love to have you as puppets, granted).

The thing is, that all went away when you guys backstabbed eBR by signing MPPs with their enemies and RWing *rented* bonus regions during a period of strong war against TWO. Strategically, it was the worst move you could have ever made.

How should eBR trust eSA again, when your CPs did that instead of properly not renewing the rental agreement? Even if you want peace, what's the value of that to eBR? Much simpler to keep you guys without congress for a while, plus there's no expenses with rentals.

When you say eSA, we say Leon. Leon declared State of War because of some rumours he heard, then nothing happened. During his SoW he overruled congress and signed MPP's with HIS choices, knowing full well the implications to eSA. To frak eSA has been a dream of his. His dream finally came true. I just hope that one day eBrazil will want to work with the next CP.

The line is a bit blurry since Congress had to approve those MPPs, but yeah - I'm well aware of the mess one individual can do to a country.

eBR is not usually a country to keep resentments, but we'll see how it plays out.

I am sure the some individuals will be willing to pay some gold for the inconveniences and grievances caused.

Sure you do. But it is one thing to ask eBR to leave and go do your business, another completely different is to backstab the very people that gave you a lot of money on a moment of weakness.

This could have been solved peacefully and with no resentments, but you decided to do it the other way.

You decided not to by continually blocking SA actions and refusing to pay what the regions are worth. Respect is in what you do and not in what you say in public. We both have ears in each others' governments.

About the rental, it was the agreed value. Of course eBR would not go after you proposing to increase its cost (why would anyone?), but eSA had all the right to ask for a renegotiation... but it didn't (:

About blocking eSA though... you are completely right. Many times the brazilian government didn't pay enough attention to eSA's requests or wishes. That could have been handled better by both sides.

You also forget that both parties have the right to terminate the agreement should re-negotiations lead nowhere or if they just feel like it. Its an agreement, not a certificate of servitude.

South Africa altered the agreement when the cost of currency shot through the roof. The cost has now turned the other way. At last count, Brazil wish to payed less than a single tank blows in a week for 5/5 bonuses. In exchange you got a free ride, a country that bent over backwards to help you in PTO's and invasions and spent more than half a month at a time wipe to help you preserve bonuses while you found the time to prioritise getting South Africans their bonuses back. In all that time we asked for help 3 times, 2 of which saw us wiped waiting for you to act in the spirit of friendship.
Ridiculous. Exploitative. Enough.

While you have no bonuses - search your wallets and hearts to see the true value a friendly South Africa brings to an ally. Then cry over your greed and shortsightedness while remembering that this was all self-induced. Its going to have to be something very special before we expose ourselves to such an abusive relationship again.

Never said eSA didn't have the right to terminate or re-negotiate it - my point is that it never did it oficially. It was like "yeah, please pay us the rent" (which eBR did) and then signing MPP with Uruguay two days later... and then taking more than a month to actually return the money.

The agreement was based on gold, even though Brazil payed a fixed price in currency for many months (I actually have the exact numbers somewhere, its like eSA got ~100G more... not a significant value). All eSA did when the currency value increased was to remember that the original agreement was based on gold, I would not call that a favor.

I am not saying eSA didn't have the right or that it shouldn't have terminated the agreement - You guys have all the right to do as you wish, and yeah, eBR had been a bad friend for a while. It was just a matter of saying "hey, you paid us last month on day X, on day X of this month we will not renew it".

All I am saying is that you didn't terminate it, you decided to plain and simple break it after being paid and become enemies.
