United Lolis of Japan

こんにちは みなさん
Hello Everyone o/

Today's article is all about the United Lolis of Japan. Whether you are looking for a party or already with us, keep reading to learn about some of the opportunities and programs that the Lolis have access to

What we're all about

The ULJ is a long running party with one very simple goal: to have fun

In this respect, we might be seen as the embodiment of eJapan's old reputation for players that concentrate far more on enjoying our time together than on the modules and mechanics of eRepublik.

Roleplay, social interaction, and just chatting away on irc for hours a day. These are some of our favorite pastimes and in our history we have often outdone even the Ministry of Culture and History with our cultural and social events.

Political Expertise and Opportunities

Don't let our concentration on culture fool you though. We have a long tradition of expert politicians and giving young players both the training and opportunities to enter the political arena.

Politicians and training

Among our ranks we have several politicians from every facet of government. Whether it is Congress, the Ministries, or even the Presidency of nations, we have several veterans that can teach you the ins and outs of each position. All you have to do is ask and we'll point you to one of our experts in whichever field you would like to participate in.

Young Congressmen program

Training is all well and good, but what about actually getting the opportunity to put your knowledge to use? We can help you with that too 🙂

Our young congressmen program has been active for quite a while and is actually how I got my start in eJapan's national politics. All you have to do is talk to one of our veteran congressmen, let them get to know you, and then ask them to sponsor you. Once you have a sponsor you will be placed high on our lists for the next congress elections. Not only does this program allow players to get their feet wet in politics much earlier than in other parties, but it also has given the nation many bright new politicians that might have otherwise not gotten involved.

Getting into the Ministries

While young players often believe that getting into congress is their only way of getting onto the national stage, that is not at all true. Our party often has players acting as Ministers in the Presidential Cabinet and this can be one of the easiest ways of participating in the government as well as one with the most impact. Our Ministers always need assistants and it is an easy thing to ask to be included on their teams. No past experience is required. ULJ ministers are happy to train you on the job. Not only is it easy to enter the Ministries, they are arguably the most influential arm of the government, so you can see the effects of your work spread wide across our country far sooner than you might think.

Military Expertise and opportunities

Lolis are certainly cute and cuddly, but they know how to handle themselves on a battlefield.

We have two sister Military Units that many lolis choose two join. The large and friendly Maid Cafe or the Small, elite Pedokuma Hunter Squad.

The Maid cafe is one of our nation's largest military units and has an officer corp that has taken part in the past Ministry of Defense communication systems. Becoming an officer here is a great way of getting a firsthand look and affecting the way our nation conducts war.

The Pedokuma Hunter Squad is a smaller, tight-knit group of ULJ members that produce an impressive amount of damage for their size and can often compete with the larger Military Units in the country. Here you will find a closer community and plenty of pride in changing the tide of battle with just a couple of friends.

Support, Community, and family

Our core values have always been supporting and having fun with other members of our party. Towards this goal we have a couple internal features that assist us.

Aneki's Pantry

This is a program that was started only a couple months ago. Aneki's Pantry is a large supply reserve that we operate with donations from our more well off members. Any member is free to request supplies from our stock and it has been one of our most successful programs.

Since its implementation, Aneki's pantry has distributed more than two thousand Q7 weapons, hundreds of smaller quality weapons, and tens of thousands of units of food. The programs really shines though during times of economic hardship such as the tournaments when supply prices spike. Many lolis that could not purchase food and weapons due to high prices were able to make it through tournaments on the donated supplies from the Pantry.

Events

As I previously mentioned, our party can sometimes rival the MoCH when it comes to creating and implementing new cultural events. Sometimes they are seasonal like our Holloween avatar contest, or they are because we are bored and want to do something 😛 Either way, we often come up with new contest for our members to participate in, and yes they include prizes lol

Families

We're always some of the first to jump in on new national events, and the Family RP project is no exception. Our party features two official Families:

Ookuninushi (大国主) - The older of the two families, this family has both ULJ and non-ULJ members. They are laid back and don't have a formalized structure. Their name is in reference to the god of Nation building, farming, business, and Medicine

Hideyoshi (秀吉) - Younger and smaller, this family has a more organized internal structure and intends to assist players new to the family system in getting acquainted with the role play. Their name is a reference to both Toyotomi Hideyoshi, a great Japanese historical figure whose personality was summarized in the phrase "If the rooster doesn’t crow, make it crow" and the character Hideyoshi from Baka and Test (see if you can catch the joke 😛).

And of course what ULJ article is complete without plenty of Lolis
