Unified Inventory, Pros and Cons

Well, I intended to release another article about investing, but the new unified inventory is all the rage today. Just from my general fussing around with it, this is what I see being good and bad.
Pros:
1) All our items in one place
2) No more having to pull money out of companies (and tax evasion)
3) Unlimited storage until Day 1,250.
4) You get some free licenses assuming you had some before, this is nice since we can get good licenses instead of a having some old crappy ones (like Indonesia who the US has an embargo with).
5) They readjusted the productivity equation which is good. Thank god we're producing less now. Supply is far outpacing demand due to working as manager and this should help push things towards equilibrium. (EDIT: THIS IS A BUG ACCORDING TO THE GAME'S CREATOR. HOLD OFF ON WORKING FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE TODAY.) THIS IS NOW FIXED.
Cons:
1) 1000 Inventory? WTF is this? My resources produced today are already well beyond 1000.
2) You can't tell what's going on in each individual company without dissecting everything.
3) I can already foresee many players getting low on cash because company money and citizen money are combined. Then, their workers will all not get paid and quit.
4) Citizen names on the market. We can no longer hide behind anonymous companies and operate independently of our citizen names. This could be bad if people hate you or it could be good if people love you. Hard to say if this will have an effect or not, but I'll just assume it's a bad thing. BUY FROM PEOPLE YOU KNOW IF YOU CAN. KEEP THE MONEY HEADING TO PEOPLE WHO BENEFIT THE COUNTRY.
5) Having items separate is good. I don't want all the food I have in one spot. I want the food I purchase and intend to eat in one account and the food my company makes in another so I can sell it. (NOTE: ANY FINISHED GOODS YOU MAKE WILL NEED TO BE PUT ON THE MARKET SO YOU DON'T USE THEM UP.)
Neutral:
1) VAT has changed. If you enter a price at 1 USD that is the price WITH TAX. There is no adjacent box for adjustment for tax any longer. Keep that in mind before you sell stuff and start eating losses.
Remember Day 1,250. That's the day they adjust this again (according to the info button in our storage unit). Dooms day is coming, we know the date.

I love to hear opinions and comments, especially if they are contrary to my own or from young players who want to learn this game!

Another pro: You can no longer be food bombed.
Another con: You seem to have blood on the seat of your pants and it seems to be coming from within your pants.
Another con: Hater's gonna hate...seriously though, I think the non-taxed company withdraws are going to harm the CBO. Even though there was some tax evasion out there, most players don't know how and paid the tax to get their money. That was some chunk of change for the government. We could see the tax rate go up shortly.
Overall, I kinda like this. I wish they would make max inventory limit 10,000 at least as a min, otherwise No point for multi-buisness Another thing is I miss companies name, they hate or not hate you but if your the cheapest people will buy. I miss companies name 🙁
They did adjust 1 man inventory production. Hopefully decrease supply increase demand.
I like it.
It drastically shortened the amount of time needed to manage multiple companies.

@Brandon Ward, I can't find a single person who didn't know how to dodge taxes when withdrawing cash from their companies. I don't think it'll hurt the CBO that badly.

Good article. I like the changes overall but I lost whatever if any advantage I had trying to brand my companies with Cowboys. I think it will greatly reduce the number of offerings on the RM market but time will tell.

if you do not want to consume weapon or food, you put them on the market at a price which nobody would buy it (or if they buy you be happy). this might be the wok around plato was talking in the forum..

@ sparos the same thing almost happened to me but since I wanted to use a q1 to get me back to 100 I put the q4 on the market for an very high price and then withdrew the offer after i consumed my q1 but other then that i don't know how we are going to work it.

Point number 5 is incorrect. I managed to use 2 guns out of my finished products with out selling them to myself at all.
It must be different for food and weapons then. It didn't do that to me for food at all. I had to sell it and rebuy it.

The old spread sheets never worked (for me anyhow), but this is crazy. I now have the chose of running blind or using Google SS. When the accounts were all separate I could fudge it in my head because experience taught about how much RM and cash was needed if I looked at employee activity/productivity/wage.
This might work if you got 1 or 2 co.'s but when you got 11?!? Give me a break! Not all are run with employees, but still...
And the STORAGE COST after 1250? I gotta have at LEAST 15,000 grain min. or I can run out in ONE FREAKIN' DAY! Let alone the product produced (maybe 400-500), my weapons stockpile (with 1000-2000 iron), 2-3 houses laying around (with 1000-2000 stone). OMG, I'm gonna need at least 20,000 (bare minimum)!
Plato can kiss my rosy red @$$ if they think I'm gonna pay a ton of gold for storage. Every damn thing in this game is intended to make you PAY FOR GOLD with real money. And they have the nerve to call this a FREE browser game.
Last note: Love this article. I started to write something similar today and accidentally deleted it! (LOL) And BTW, Chrome is out and FF is the browser to use if you have companies (Thanks Admins).

My only complaint so far is the limit on inventory. You're right, RM companies fill it up fast.
