UK Congress September 2012

Day 1,772, 07:50 Published in United Kingdom USA by Lisamunusira

The results are definite.
All results are compared with August 2012.
11 seats for TUP (-2) 149 votes (-22) 28.44% (-4.83😵
11 seats for UKPP/PCP UKPP 8 (-2) PCP 3 (same) 139 votes (-36) 26.53% (-7.52😵
7 seats for ESO/WRP (-3) 96 votes (-31) 18.32% (-6.39😵
7 seats for NE (+6) 85 votes (+85) 16.22% (+16.22😵 (in august with ESO)
4 seats for UKRP (+1) 55 votes (+14) 10.50% (+2.52😵
40 seats total (same) total votes 524 (+10)
The admins took away 9 votes. Justice is done against the unfair players.

Rest seats system
The system used by admins for rest seats was that the parties with the most rest seat would get the last seats to be divided. That is why UKPP with 0.64 rest got the first rest seat and NE with 0.49 rest the second (and last). TUP was third with 0.37 rest seat but there were no rest seats left.

The parties
A good result for UKRP, they gained one seats and votes compared to a month earlier. However they must be aware of getting enough members otherwise PCP can become the 5th party of UK.

NE is a strong new party in top 5, gained 6 seats, major winner in seats. This was expected because this new party they got a lot of new members and almost all are active. Last months they were running under ESO (as John Bull) and Angela Williams got 1 seat. Sadly she left congress after a few days already.

ESO was loosing more than expected even with the support of WRP. WRP got no seat because for that the ESO list had to get 9 seats. Biggest loss this month is for ESO in seats. It is difficult to see on votes because in August they had the support of John Bull (now New Era). Will they regain their former strength?

UKPP and PCP together got a nice result. PCP stayed at 3 seats but UKPP lost 2. UKPP is the second party of UK. It seems that a right wing party can work together quite good with a left wing party.

TUP got the most votes and seats of all parties. However they lost 2 seats and quite a lot of votes. Some work is to be done there.

In total UK had 10 voters more. I hope next month we will have even more votes.

The new system made it possible to have an easy voting day and small parties can get seats when they find a partner in the top 5. The new system did work quite well. It is fairly democratic but the excitement of tactical voting checking results all day and gaining some seats in the last minutes sadly is lost.
