Turkey, Slovenia Rapidly Recovering Regions, Days 1065-1066

Day 1,066, 15:01 Published in USA USA by Lieutenant Scheisskopf

Although there are widespread concerns that eRepublik is facing some hacker and multi activity (which I am not addressing here, nor will I comment on), the simple facts on the battlefield at this time are that Phoenix is making a comeback. Both eSlovenia and eTurkey are being recovered with relative ease for whatever reason, while eSerbia has stymied the eUSA’s planned offensive in Southeast Asia for the time being.

Little eSlovenia is beginning to peek out of its eCroat occupation

Hungary, Slovenian Resistance Notch Victories against Croatia
After eHungary successfully conquered eCroatian-occupied Prekmurje following its day 1064 attack, eCroatia quickly staged a counterattack, at 08:50 on Day 1065, to attempt to retake the region and keep eSlovenia subjugated. After the battle was secured by eHungary, Phoenix allowed a resistance war (RW) of Prekmurje to take place, which will return the region to eSlovenia at the battle’s conclusion. Meanwhile, Phoenix-backed resistance fighters opened a pair of fierce Resistance Wars which resulted in two Phoenix victories, at Lower Carniola on Day 1065, as well as a second victory on Day 1066 in Styria and Carinthia. Combined, eSlovenia is bound to have regained ½ of its regions by server reset on Day 1067; only Inner Carniola, Slovenian Littoral, and Upper Carniola remain to be retaken, and all three could be conceivably returned before Congressional elections occur.

eTurkish resistance has won two battles (numbered) on Day 1066,
and also opened three additional RWs against eGreece (striped)

Turkish Resistance Makes Considerable Gains
Along with their eSlovenian allies, eTurkey has continued to win back regions taken by eGreece in the previous week, behind a string of RW victories and an ever-growing population. Day 1066 started on a positive note for the eTurks as Mediterranean Coast of Turkey fell to the resistance at 00:12 and was followed just under seven hours later with a victory in Marmara. With a third success just before server reset in Central Anatolia, along with favorable RWs in Southeastern Anatolia, and Black Sea Coast of Turkey, eTurkey is returning to the map and in better shape than could have ever been anticipated three days ago when the EDEN eGreeks conquered all of Anatolia. If eTurkey’s new citizens from their baby boom remain in the game, the Phoenix state will be a force to be reckoned with in the Mediterranean Sea, and could easily contest eGreece, eIsrael, and eCyprus in the future.

Two heavyweights continue to fight far from their homes

Serbia Advances on USA Positions in Southeast Asia
Day 1065 witnessed two eSerb attacks on the eUSA’s holdings in both India and Thailand, first targeting Tamil Nadu, followed a few hours later by an attack against Eastern Thailand. Both attacks help eSerbia delay the eUSA’s possible advances in SE Asia and also divert any possible eUS support for other battles worldwide. Even though the eUSA secured Tamil Nadu, a subsequent RW which opened in Southern Thailand will further prevent the eUSA from attacking the region directly, taking advantage of the recently implemented rules which prevent a “double whammy” (a RW and regular attack on the same region) from occurring. eSerbian orders are calling for eSerbs to fight for the Resistance, probably to block off the eUSA; if the eSerbs were to win in Eastern Thailand and take that region from the eUSA, reentering SE Asia would be hard for the eAmericans since they do not have an active war with eThailand, who would receive Southern Thailand if the RW is successful. Time will tell what becomes of this battle, and how the eUSA intends to retake momentum and control of the war in this theater.

Bottom Line
No matter the reason, Phoenix has currently retaken momentum in liberating two of its conquered countries, while also stymying the eUSA in its quest on eSerb and eIndonesian possessions. However, Phoenix has also failed to make any retaliatory gains of its own, leaving EDEN with a net gain from the past few weeks of combat. Nevertheless, if EDEN is not careful, a revitalized eTurkey and a resurgent Phoenix force could turn the tables with time.

God Bless America,
