The economy is all messed up right now...obviously. We just cant afford to continue to pay these wages. Right now im employ 4 Guru* players, at 100% health and the 10%bouns they produce 584 grain. As i type this grain is selling at 0.03 per, 584*.03= $17.52 i pay them $24 dollars. everyday i stand to lose $6.48*4= $25.92. So the aaverage going rate is .04 so thats 584*.04= 23.36 so in this instance I lose .64*4= $2.56 per day. This most companies can handle and try to wait out the market but with the market flooded with .04 grain you are lucky to sell all your grain or even any.
This can't continue our companies will go under and or our citizen wages will drop, hell they are gonna have to at this rate. Right now the wage for a Guru* is right around 22.50 so at .04 a company stands to make $0.86 per 584 grain. This is only if the employee works at 100%! Very crazy times we are in right now, and if you are gonna want my vote on the 25th you better think about raising the import tax!

I agree with you, market better be shut down under the circumstances, let alone increasing taxes. Almost everyone higher than 12lvl has at least 1xFood + 1xGrain company so basically almost noone needs to spend money for himself or employ someone. This game has brought a fresh breath to communism; everyone is self-sufficient, as a result of that market is totally inefficient.
just decrease the salaries of your employees. q1 food is cheap, they can survive. you are paying much more than they need. it's your fault.

😁 you are missing the point, if i pay them below the going wage for a Guru* then they will just leave for a better paying job. In which case i will have no employees thus 100% profit. Sounds good but it completely takes away from the game.
Not everyone has a company and they must work for money to afford cheap q1 food. Even if i paid them below the going wage for Guru* the market is so flooded i would still not profit for the fact i cant sell any grain anyway.
how can anyone pay better then you if you lose money ?
Not to mention the fact that the market is flooded is highly due to the fact you can employ yourself and make 100% profit.
Players that have 10 or 11 companies can funnel money around and tread the water that is the market much longer I can. This is the point im trying to make Pearl, something has to give soon. Either we pay way less, we employ no workers or we raise import tax and hope it helps stiffen the market.
At this point, it's not really possible to make money by employing others unless you have the money to "tread water" as you put it.
Right now it's probably best to jump on the self-sufficiency bandwagon and work for yourself. Sell what you don't need on the side and just assume a holding pattern until this overproduction gets sorted out or the market otherwise stabilizes.
At least that's what I'm doing.
Only solution is to drop down the wages conventionally or start a food company. Which is again not profitable.
main issue is that wage paying GM's are having to compete with GM's employing only themselves at only the cost of 10 health.
