True Friends and Allies

Well I’ve been busy with some real life commitments, so I haven’t written an article for a while. So in returning to the media, what to write about? Well a while ago I wrote an article comparing a situation in the game to a real life similar situation. Well over the last couple of months our alliance with eBrazil has sparked many a discussions – some people for the alliance and some against it.



This unlikely alliance reminds me of a real life alliance between England and America. Once bitter enemies now the strongest of friends so to our alliance with eBrazil shows the same qualities.



Over a month ago Brazil was in a battle with Spain. When our biggest foe Indonesia turned their sights onto our precious eastern cape, which is part of our rental agreement with Brazil. We were then asked by Brazil to NE Indonesia, a reasonable request from an ally who was facing a war from two sides by very formidable foes. In question here was not what Brazil’s intentions were. But whether we were going to be a nation of integrity and a reliable ally.



We proved to all our allies that we are willing to take a risk for them even at any cost to our nation. Being wiped off from the map is not a nice thing as it dents our egos, and dampens our spirits. Seeing our nation start fighting at all costs to our gold and personal finances. We sacrificed everything to fight with those indos, never giving up.

Next we sat back and asked where is our ally? You, me and even our president I’m sure asked this question – Where is eBrazil? We were being defeated back and forth. Indonesia was having fun belittleing us. When we thought we had lost everything Brazil now asks us again to do something, we are tested again. Trust. A big word for eSA as our history teaches us to trust no one. Now Brazil wants us to NE Brazil… We pause for a moment and look in our mirror.

We risk losing all our mutual allies as MPP are cancelled when we declare war on brazil. We also stand at a point where we can possibly be played by Brazil and Indonesia. Never regain a territory, never exist again…but our nations leaders thrash it out in congress ultimately bringing it to a vote. We eventually come out to be the nation we have always been a risk taker, someone who stands for what she believes. We NE Brazil and wait the outcome, moments away from congressional elections.



Well the rest is history, as they say. We get a huge shock Brazil pays the rental money and they don’t even have the territories back. Next Brazil NE Indonesia. Sparking a war in our homeland. Two giants fighting in front of us, what do we do? We piss on Indonesia strap a couple of bombs to their legs and start firing away – Indonesia we are the thorn in your flesh! With Indonesia out of Africa we turn to look at our ally and friend Brazil.

Thanks Brazil for making a believer out of me, alliances in this game are not skin deep but run to the very core of our beings. Looking forward to a promising future with you as friends and allies.
