Treaty of Chisinau - India Invitation!

Day 798, 13:11 Published in India Republic of Moldova by Foreign Office Moldova

At the beginning of this eWorld nations strived, by themselves, to
survive and, from the very start some began to be aggressive towards
others. The explanation might lie in the human nature, more than it is
connected to an in-game attitude.
However, this early type of aggression was generally assumed by
individual countries, because alliances suppose the players to know
each other and this might take time (often as long as to eat a truck
of salt with someone, the Germans say).

In those early times some ePresidents just took the money of the
eCountry and fled abroad or made all the citizens of the country their
subjects, proclaiming themselves God Emperors (like Dio Brando).

Finally, some sort of friendship began to appear in the eWorld and
neighbours (people are mainly interested in the neighbors and not so
much about what is going on overseas) split into groups of allies or
enemies.

Such appeared the
FIST,
Northern
Alliance
,
The
Byzantine Empire
,
PANAM or
The
Mediterranean Alliance
.

FIST, in time, turned into PEACE Global Community, and after that
resulted in the present day PHOENIX.

The Northern Alliance has been transformed into ATLANTIS and nowadays
into EDEN.
The Byzantine Empire was a strange alliance between Greece and Turkey
(amongst other countries) which now are enemies.

The Mediterranean Alliance was an attempt of southern European
countries to get closer but it had no success.

PANAM countries mainly entered PEACE GC and after that they remained
neutral or friendly to Phoenix.
The organization:

Most of the early alliances, the countries composing them, did not
have very strong ties. Therefore, some countries fled from the
Northern Alliance when it became ATLANTIS (like Ireland), others
joined it. Similar events governed FIST and PEACE GC.

It is important to remember that at that time some eCountries, like
Russia or Serbia, which are big powers now, did not even exist. People
just got used to each other, and some long term friendships were
formed this way, no matter the sides they chose (I like to believe).

Demands and costs of alliances:

At the beginning the commitment to an alliance was … easier, but in
time it evolved into elaborate contracts with rules, monthly
contributions depending on population, armed force at the disposal of
the alliance, a lot of bureaucracy and lots of Headquarters.
Everything that humans have imagined in RL, they bring to eR.

We acknowledge that in eR war is, since no citizen dies, fun and
desirable for the wealth and normal growth of the players. Despite
this, we do not understand that but some particular players take
advantage of this fun from invasion wars. Therefore, we think that all
the little communities should stand together and protect each other.

The eWorld is full of good examples of little countries helping other
smaller countries, like the help given by eIreland to eIndia against
the eIran agression, eThailand and eMalaesia who stood together
against mighty eIndonesia or, of late, the case of eMoldavia rising
to defend eSouth Africa.

It is possible, it has been done before. Little does not mean
without importance.

Still, we are aware that each and every little country must promote
good relations with its bigger neighbors, in order to diplomatically
prevent any sort of aggression but they also have to be determined to
claim all the territories that originally belonged to them, all the
respect and proper treatment from the other countries.

Taking all that into consideration, we take a step forward and try to
set up a diplomatic proposal so as to guarantee the freedom of all the
peoples willing to join, to ensure the normal fun and open-mindedness
between the countries in order to enjoy living in eR and avoid all the
bureaucratic procedures of a formal alliance.

Also, we wish to discover, via this pledge, a way of finding new
friends, to establish new human connections trough the players and,
finally, to make playing this game more desirable for all of us.

What do we propose?
This is neither an alliance, nor a trade guild.

This is the expression of peoples’ determination to stand up,
together, as friends. Just based on their own word and commitment.

Hence, we like to present to all of you the
Declaration
of our commitment, as free individuals who just like to enjoy this
game like everyone else and who understand to do that freely and under
no threats.
In the hope that this proposition will represent the ideals of many of you,

Maniu,

President of Republic of eMoldavia
