Day 592, 11:28 Published in USA USA by The Libertarian Ledger
This is the transcript from a July 2nd Q&A forum with Emerick. I intended to release this yesterday, but due to RL events due July 4th events yesterday, my time has been limited. Questions will be in bold.

[13:58] first of all, what is your response to last nights events, and this article
[13:58] http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-harrison-richardson-pronounced-dead-emerick-projected-as-uncontested-winner--845672/1/2 0

[13:59] It was a tragedy
[13:59] loss of a patriot
[13:59] Harrison was a young man in his prime
[13:59] Why do the good ones always die young?
[13:59] and what do you think should happen to the radical bastard who did it (still part of the first question)
[14:00] If I knew who it was, I'd probably punch him in the face irl
[14:00] I see
[14:00] anyway, moving on
[14:00] second question, what exactly will you do to help improve government transparency
[14:00] it has been a rather important issue for me personally
[14:00] Well, scrabman as a person is very secretive
[14:01] He doesn't refer to events specifically, but he'll talk around them
14:01] Me, I'll just be more open about what's going on
[14:01] Specifically talk about an issue
[14:02] what about letting the public know what congress is up to?
[14:02] and where money is going?
[14:02] When the president feels free to talk about something, then it creates more conversation
[14:02] We have our budget published
[14:03] What about all of the bureaucratic BS?
[14:04] Yeah, I don't think that we have that much of a bureacracy problem in the federal government
[14:05] Most of the bureacracy is in congress
[14:05] And there's nothing I could do about that as president :/
[14:07] If elected, what would your plans be regarding our militay?
[14:07] military
[14:07] We're working on moving our surplus gold into military funding
[14:07] Which I support
[14:07] We'll have war games
[14:07] And I'll try to find fun operations
[14:08] Turkish Delight was awesome
[14:08] And if we could keep up with that kind of work, then we'll be awesome.
[14:13] Should the NAU be subsidied by the US Department of Education, and if so, to what extent?
[14:14] Yeah, I think it should, but it won't need too much
In your latest article, you wrote that you would be astaunch supporter of keeing America neutral and not in an Alliance. However, even though Harrison Richardson said the same thing 5 days ago,he has proposed the ratification of the Fortis charter to Congress today, which has garnered overwhelming support. Are you totally against Fortis, and if Fortis is ratified, how will your Foreign Policy change?
[14:17] Well, if the vote passes, then there really won't bemuch I can do about that, unless I can make an agreement with the potential members to remain neutral
[14:17] But I doubt that will happen
[14:18] Neitrality seems to be a lost dream at this point
[14:18] *neutrality
14:18] so are you changing your Foreign Policy then?
[14:18] If I have to, then yes
[14:19] to what?
[14:19] Well, it's not really a huge change
14:19] Also
[14:19] My original policy was to try our best to remain neutral unless our allies don't feel that safe without an alliance
[14:21] Emerick, you have been complimented by nearly allsides for your strength in international diplomacy. What are your plans fordiplomacy with PEACE nations like Japan, Hungary, Indonesia, or others? Also, this applies to neutral countries, or countries looking to forge newalliances, such as the EDEN project. How do you plan to handle all of these groups?
[14:22] That's a p wide variety of Peace nations you listedthere
[14:22] Hungary is p militantly against us
[14:22] I'm not sure where we can go there
14:23] Indonesia is friendly but still consider us their enemies- that's just how they play
[14:23] And we'll remain friendly enemies with them until we can convince them that allying with us is in their best interest
[14:24] Japan is a special country that's been great to me personally, and I expect that if I'm elected that our relationship will grow as well
14:24] Eden will also be allies with America

[14:26] Why do you think you have so much support from veteran players?

[14:27] Because the veterans understand where America andthe world has been, and understand that I know how to correct the mistakes of the past and forge into unknown waters
[14:28] You've stated you support war games, through what method do you intend to continue them?
[14:29] Neither the Irish or I plan to end our Rhode Island-Ireland war games
14:29] Because that's been working nicely
[14:30] So you'd utilize the current method?
[14:30] yes

Sorry for releasing this late, but hopefully you all enjoyed this. Remember, vote for Emerick come election day. That is all.
