Trade in the eUK

Day 1,813, 19:00 Published in United Kingdom South Africa by Freebairn

The eUK has a variety of trade policies, good and bad. London has passed several trade affecting laws over the course of their time. The minimum wage in the eUK is medium, and at par with most other nations. The capitalist competition in our nation spurs relatively high wages in comparison with other nations across the globe. That's not the problem. The eUK's congress is (or at least in the past has been) fairly protectionist when is comes to foreign trade though.

The import tax on food is 99% which is fairly common in developed nations, it causes internal growth. However, the import tax on weapons is 60%, which compared to the rest of the civilized world is quite high. Some say its ridiculous to cut down the rate of good weapons produced from other countries. Others (mostly weaponry business owners and workers) say that it's a good rate and increases the wealth of the eUK's citizens and drives our economy. Moving tickets also have a surprisingly high import tax, 50%. (though i can't imagine who buys "foreign" moving tickets... Other than those
trades, import taxes are low.

Income taxes on goods are at 5% which is less than some countries, more than others, not much for discussion. Income tax on wages is usually about one 19th, or 0.05% of their wages. That doesn't seem like much but it takes away from your wages regardless. It funds many of the great programs we enjoy in the eUK. If you regard any of the laws and taxes we have here as counter-productive, then i encourage you to contact one of the Ministers.
