Top 10 Worst Filipino Traits
10. Ningas Kugon/flaming old Coconut shell (?)
-Yep, our habit of starting a job right and then failing to end it or ending that job but with low quality makes it included in my list. Historically speaking, this kind of trait did not originated from us (Filipinos). It came from the Spaniards who have colonized us for about 500 years, thus with that long span of time, some of their traits were also passed down to us. Although rank 10th, it is quite popular, though.........
9. Makapal ang mukha/thick face (?)
-Although not harmful, it is a kind of pagiging bastos and mayabang at the same time, kind of a mixture of those two. It is when you just barge in/do something/take something without permission or.......you know what im saying, ah, it's hard to explain. Why is it just ranked 9th? Because we got used to it.......although not quite but most of the time we experience this.
8. Biolente/violent
-Most Filipinos would tend to use brawns to solve problems or annoying people. Enough said.
7. Bastos
-Bastos is now a generic term, that's why i cant translate it to english. From the form of lust/sexually ,uh, bad? or kapal ng mukha, it's forms are quite endless. It can be harmful (could result to your death, verbally provoked someone) or harmless (kapal ng mukha/pilosopo......).
6. Makulit/Di marunong sumunod/Disobedient
-Have you ever seen a "No Parking" sign here in the Philippines without cars parked near the signs? Or a "Bawal Umihi dito/No one is allowed to relieve here" (naks naman sa pag translate) sign without marks of being urinated? A more, uh, popular sign would be "Bawal magtapon ng basura dito/No one is allowed to throw trash here" that has, well, garbages around it. Of course, im generally speaking. Averaging all the signs made and whether it has been followed or not, surveys...
5. Sinungaling/Liar
-We Filipinos are generally creative. Especially in making stories. Well that makes this one into top five.
4. Mayabang/boastful
-Of course it's not bad to boast, but the problem is when it goes too much. Then fights begin, children (especially street children) usually quarrel a lot because of this.
3. Greed/Selfishness
-And that leads to kidnap-for-ransom, robbery, and others especially.........
2. Kurakot/Kurapsyon/Corruption
-.........this. From barangays tanods to policemen to mayors to governors to senators to presidents (ahem). Corruption is very popular, that could lead to plunder, graft, massacre, prolonging of power/position (ahem).
1. Katamaran/Laziness
-And the last but definitely not the least, Laziness! Very popular throughout the Philippines. All Filipinos (and other people) have experienced this and I doubt it wasn't repeated. I myself have experienced this every time........
Next week, Top 10 Diseases in the Philippines (as in fever)

In scotland our worst thing is that we're always critical.
Lets say you were in high school and you had got 5/6 High grades. you would go home and get a shouting at for not getting the 6th =-p
Roman, that's a good thing! I would complain at my future kids if they didn't get the VERY best grade they could get. I wish all of USA thought that way.
Philippines is the most corrupt country in Asia...
Laziness is something can't be something to express all Filipinos. We have the highest number of abroad people in the world, thus showing that we are hard working people. It shows that we are able to take an opportunity and turn it into something good even if it means leaving our families.
I actually would of included colonial mentality as well as putting it as number 1.
Topy, no it isn't.
Bastos = vulgar, licentious, lewd, saucy, raunchy, salacious, lecherous
-OR-
Bastos = insolent, disrespectful, discourteous, contemptuous (especially of authority)
Juan Tamad is present everywhere..hehehe Colonial Mentality, well that is definitely prevalent here in the Philippines..
@Topy...
it's Indonesia...
