Day 838 of the New World

This is part of a new daily series of articles, which will explain what is goin on in the eWorld each day.

Most of the events today have been as a result of PTOs, for anyone who doesn't know what that means yet, it stands for Political Take Over, which is where a bunch of people from another country domainate the congress and elect their own president, against the will of the legitimate residents of the country.

-big version-

There have been a lot of region-swaps (trading territories between two friendly countries) in india. The green line shows the path that the Philippines took during these swaps. According to the Indian president, the purpose was to have the Philippines block all unfriendly borders because they were threatened by a PTO, which if successful might have retreated a huge portion of the country to an enemy.
The wall against Pakistan and Serbia was simple, since neither of them have an active war with the Philippines, India temporarily gave their regions along the border to them. Attempting to declare war on the Philippines would take a lot of money, and would give them enough time to put the regions under USA control.
The wall against Indonesia is complicated by the fact that Indonesia has declared war on the Philippines. The only path to get from Indonesia to India without looping around is through Southern-Thailand and Tamil-Nadu (southern India), so they gave Tamil-Nadu to the USA, who would have to defend it.

The PTO failed on the 5th, the Indian regions are supposed to be returned in 2-3 days. Supposedly this is a very expensive false alarm.

EDIT:
This area is rapidly changing as I am writing this. It looks like the USA does have plans to use these region swaps to attack something, partly because of how expensive this would be to only block a potential PTO, and also because the USA is currently attacking more regions even though the PTO has clearly failed.
Expect more updates on this as it becomes more clear what the actual goal is.

Recently Denmark has been PTOed by Serbia, meaning that Serbian people are in control of the country. Denmark doesn't seem to have much of it's own community, or at least has a very small one. For the most part they have been doing whatever Sweden wants. The Danish regions have been owned by Sweden, UK, Hungary, Germany, and Norway at one point or another. They never seem to have much significance.
Serbian control of the country would be a huge change to the region, and would help secure our northern border and eliminate Sweden's border with the UK.

Sweden responded to the PTO by attacking Denmark, if they control no regions during the congress elections (on the 25th), then anyone can get citizenship for an entire month, and Denmark will likely instead get taken over by Eden.

Today the last region of Denmark was lost to Sweden, this however actually helped the PTO, since it is nowhere near the 25th, it should be easy to free one Danish region in a resistance war and the Serbians will keep control.
As I am writing this, several resistance wars have been started in Sweden, we will see how these turn out tomorrow.

South Africa has also been PTOed by people loyal to phoenix. They gave half the country to Argentina, in order to get the high diamonds in Limpopo. Australia then started to declare war on Argentina, the red line shows the border with Australia. Argentina then returned Mpumalanga to South Africa, so that even if Australia wins the war, it will be more difficult for them to reach the valuable region of Limpopo.
Shortly after that, the PTOed South Africa attacked Brazil, activating all their alliances. Since then Brazil has steadily been attacking their regions, giving all of Phoenix a free training war (we can fight in these battles as well to get wellness and experience).

It will be interesting to see if Australia can fight Argentina and Brazil all on their own. Eden is likely to rally behind Australia. I expect this war to be in the news quite a bit for the next little while.

That looks like it for today, cya all tomorrow unless everybody hated this one. 😛
