To WA or not to WA that is the question

Ok guys it's time to get realistic. Over the past few days we have heard a lot about WA, Indonesia and EDEN. I want you all to look at the Pro's and Con's below and think about the issue at hand. If you have a Pro or a Con to add just comment and if it is justified it will be added 🙂
General
Cons:
1. Indonesia can take on USA and all its allies for regions it neither needs or really wants.
2. Australia is currently in an economically weak position.
3. Indonesia will fight harder for this than almost any other region in their possession
4. PEACE tanks from all countries will be brought in to take Australia down
5. Australia has to pay 500g for breaking the contract
Pros:
1. We get real war experience
2. Population is likely to increase
If we loose
Cons:
1. Australia breaks the contract and has to pay 500g
2. Australia will be invaded by Indo
3. Australia will loose its regions in entirety
4. Australia won't get a single region back for at least 6 months, and that is if we are lucky
Pros:
1. ....
If we win
Cons:
1. We will have a very angry and powerful neighbour
2. Indo will wage war on us constantly on all sides through multiple battles
3. We have to pay 500g for breaking the contract
4. They can destroy Australia's economy from the inside through their businesses
5. We don't have enough population to support an extra region
Pros:
1. We get medium oil
2. National pride is sated
3. Australia gets real war experience
How Realistic Is Getting Western Australia Back?
Indonesia has a 95% chance of winning each and every battle with Australia until it is conquered
They will ferry in tanks from all over the e-world
EDEN/Fortis will not be able to protect us as they can hardly protect themselves at the moment
Assuming that EDEN/Fortis only fight in Australian battles and no where else(never going to happen), Australia would have a decent but not certain chance of defending itself from Indonesia
PEACE would fund Indonesia with limitless gold in-order to keep WA and wipe Australia off the map as for them it is a key region
Remember in war games PEACE did about 3mill dmg while they had real war zones open and Australia did about 100 thousand with no other battles
What about breaking the contract?
It is true we would be breaking the contract and would have to pay 500g
Some people say that Indonesia broke the contract, this is untrue as we have yet to buy out the companies in WA. That is part of the contract we have yet to fulfil before we are elligible to take it back.
Question is will we stick by our word or will we be the ones to go back on our word?
Why are we so desperate to get WA back?
Reasons to get back WA:
1. Medium Oil - Not that great, look at the iron industry....
2. National Pride
Reasons why WA is not needed or wanted back yet:
1. All the high regions we already have so it is not economically beneficial except maybe in oil if you consider medium lvl to be beneficial
2. We don't have the workers to fill the companies and this would hurt our economy in a very large way
3. The companies in Indonesian control could destroy our economy through high wage offering that trick new players into joining and when they can't work they often give up on the game. They could also have massive price wars in the markets eventually crashing each and every one of them.
Reasons why Indo wants WA:
1. It is very important to their economy
2. It provides a large source of income
3. It is a point of access to SA should Indo need it
Why are all the PRO war with Indonesia articles getting voted up to high?
The answer is while a few Australian's may be voting those articles up, and I am sure there are some, the majority of votes are coming from the EDEN/Fortis voting squads which are voting these articles up because they want another distraction for PEACE and another ally.
Well there you have it folks, answers to I hope some of your questions and some facts to help you decide.

WA is not only medium oil, it is high diamond.
Still, we will egt our asses kicked by eIndo, we should definitely not go to war.

To all those self-proclaimed "friends" of eAustralia, who declare loudly that they want to see WA liberated and eAustralia free of eIndonesia - I'd like to see you help out by buying the companies in WA that eAustralia must buy before getting WA back. If you feel so strong about our "freedom", why not move to WA with a few friends, work there for your new company and help out the country you care so much about...

If this article gets to around 200-250 that's when you start considering voting corps. They are generally used to get an article close to or at an international level, or high enough that no other article would come close.

eh thanks for explaing that it just seems a lot of the articals today are voted up form EDEN/Fortis i didn't consider that peace or indonesia would vote an arcitcal up as well.
It's been a rare day to be this active here i had to say it was getting hard with to keep up with everything sorry for not considering that before man.

Why do the pro-war articles get voted up to high? It's all those American and Canadians who migrated here when their countries were under PEACE dominance. They may not be able to PTO us soon, but they can sway public opinion. And the chief instigator is William Shafer who it must be pointed out was originally an eAmerican. He may have been here longer than the rest, but that's because ... let's just say the eUSA Army has issues with him of the "we'd like our money back" kind.
@Voodoo Popeye - Stood up to PEACE? Sure Canada did and got knocked onto its back. Canada only started winning back its regions when PEACE realized that having to suppress RW after RW is too much of a pain in the neck. They just totally conquered Canada so that the MPPs would all reset to nada. Then they could have a straight 1-on-1 fight, which is more sporting. The Hungarians are like sport fisherman doing a "catch and release". And Canada is the fish.
You don't have to take back your region. But the thing is its yours. I understand it will be costly and you could lose a lot. Though I know if the US is liberated fully we will be helping you. And if it came to you being entirely taken out, it wouldn't take 6 months to get a region back. It would be cool if you did attack, but attack for Australia if you do. Not for EDEN. Good luck to you Australia either way.

PEACE and EDEN are the two main alliances in the game and are at war. Fortis isn't really anything anymore.

Thanks for spelling it out so clearly Cheese, shame it had to be done. It is interesting how national pride seems to overrule common sense....wonder if it would be the same if the region was called 'South East Indian Ocean'? economically. militarily and politically it would be suicide. I know i have been away a couple of weeks...but has that much really changed??!!

If pro war articles are voted up by EDEN forces, then this article is voted up by PEACE supporters. It works both ways.
Regardless, the issue is about the welfare of Australia. You can spend an eternity kissing Indonesian ass and hoping that they wont crush you and drop breadcrumbs from their table, or you can take matters in your own hands and finally do something that activates the population and leads to a baby boom.
Your cons are pure speculations and not even good ones. Price wars? Indonesia will crush your economy? Not enough workers to fill the companies? Bollocks. Poor, fictive excuses made up by a man that has no national spirit and who does not think what is best for Australia. If you choose to walk the path of pacifism and inactivity, you're only harming Australia. Boredom is the biggest cause of death in this game, and Australia has been swimming in it for too long.

thank god. Finally some sense. Again I will say it. Easiest thing in the eworld is to beat up national pride by invoking a retaking of "our" regions. The harder but more sensible path is to build our population and economy to the point where we can fulfill OUR obligations under the contract and then move on from there.

It would be good to get WA back but probably not realistic at this time.
So what Australia is going to do is wait? For how long? A year? Two years? When will Australia's destiny be fulfilled? How many will see it through? Most Australians will not play the game long enough to see Australia united once more. You're deliberately keeping yourself weak with inaction, and at the same time feeding the enemy that conquered you before with gold, keeping them strong.
The eWorld is a world of conflict and strife. Deny the inherent nature of the game and you have uselessly and pointlessly crippled yourself. Mark my words: Australia will never rise in power as long as you hide your head in the sand. You will never become stronger than Indonesia because you don't want to see it happen.
You will not get a baby boom with "reasonable" policies. The job of a country leader is to find ways to fulfill the needs of the people so they think the game is entertaining enough to keep on playing, NOT finding excuses for inaction. Give the people an incentive to play the game instead of yammering about the terrible vengeance of Indonesia and some fictional economic problems that might befall you.
If Australia is content with being a third grade nation that cannot aspire for greatness due to some null and void agreement signed a year ago, then I wish you good luck in your pointless existence revolving around elitist politicians that use the country as their own personal litter box. Perhaps some will find humor in it, but I doubt many will.

The contract isn't valid by a longshot. The current presidents haven't signed the contract, and thus it's not binding to them. Contracts can only bind the people who have signed them.
If you could sign contracts that'd bind presidential successors, you could do a political takeover in a country and sign a contract saying the PTO'ed country must pay 1000 gold every month for the next 50 years.
Contracts just don't work that way.
Aight, there are plenty of cons if we got to war... but if we win there are many pros. Sigh. Meh...
