Well rather than asking people if they want a Lady as a rez why dont we ask the Ladies if they want to be the Prez.

It'll be cool to have one.. though I fail to understand why do we need to 'specially' discuss this thing as "men and women are equal". If they think they'd like to have a go, sure thing.. they will get support as long as they are capable regardless of the gender.

So yeah, if they wanna run, I'm in their support (especially Asmita babes 😛) because I have seen that they are capable enough of handling such responsibility and not because they are females.

Hmm, are we getting to that RL discussion about women at the top of companies 'n that sort of crap? Hope not.

I simply believe that the person most capable of doing the job, should be doing the job. Female, male, hetero, homo, whatever religion, 5 arms, 2 arms, no legs or anything else should not matter at all.

Shiv... we need to discuss this, as ladies bring a whole new thought to the table. Men behave differently around them and it can only bode well for our Foreign relations and general progress.

I know for sure that RD had said that she thought she was not fit to be President yet... which in my opinion is wrong. A President's job is to galvanise the nation and to unite all citizens. A President should (ideally) be free from controversy and equally respected by all camps...for which both ladies fit the bill eminently. Name one other person who does the same...and I shall concede the point.

Currently, India is in a position it has never been actually... excellent relations with our neighbours and our neutrality being respected by all. My gut instinct is that a lady shall do much better than us males who are generally so attuned towards ego based battles and past hatred, that we fail to go along the right path.

A Lady president, if she is strong, can be formidable in putting our point across strongly and gracefully... unlike our biased attempts.

My point is not that there SHOULD be a female President (the ladies in question are very likely to refuse it!) BUT to try and make people aware of a different perspective on things.

@ Shakti - hah... dont u believe that ladies have soft hands... they can be quite strong headed... trust me, I am a married man! : )

All in all, my most important argument in favour of a lady president is that she will unite us all, across mutual dislikes... and hey...its a unique experience for us!

Also...try and bully a smart, strong minded lady...and tell me if you succeeded : )

I know I cannot... and THAT will be the same for any nation representative who tries to browbeat us : )
