AFA let in 200/300 people a month and yet their numbers are lowering every month.
People leave because of the low bonuses, if we have full bonuses the situation would be much much worse.

I know I've said it before, but facts are facts. The eUS Military never had so big troubles that it was needed to publish articles to gather money/products to continue supply people. The gov. armed forces did.

But I will say that you can't forget that we haven't had IES open AT ALL ... so we've had no immigrations really on the part of the other T4 Parties while AFA is always accepting people. So that's a partial affect too ... and one that's changing.

While the tactic was worth trying, it has clearly failed in its desired effects and is no longer relevant to the anti PTO debate; all the lack of bonuses accomplish is the retardation of the inevitable regression the economy. Unless something is done to improve the Econ module by admin we are all headed back to pricing ratios not seen since v1.

Last term in Congress I questioned the use of low bonuses to stop illegal immigration. I heard some compelling arguments to NOT raise bonuses. I conceded to keep them low with the understanding that eventually the economic pressure (especially the lack of tax revenue) would force us to seek a 100% bonus.

The major claim was that the type of immigrant the PTO sought was only looking to better themselves, not necessarily to help AFA. Most come to the US and only stay or help AFA for a short time. I believe that the recent move to embrace CoT may actually help us get back to 100% because some of the major players are now our allies. Their home govt's are working hard to educate their people that it is in their best interest to help the US govt. defeat the PTO. I'm talking about some folks that have long been pushing the other way so I consider this a huge development.

Another element to consider is that even 100% bonuses will not fix the econ. It will provide a few more weapons and food, nothing more. Nobody is going to get rich in this environment. I've heard rumors that admins are going to fix the econ mod. When will likely be a long time (admins seldom move quickly on something like this). How is the scary part (you have to wonder what they will destroy next).

I also wanted to explore moving our tax revenue from being income tax based to VAT based. Taxing consumption rather than workers seems a better option for the little guy. Of course if it's the little guy that's doing the buying nothing will change. I just wanted to try it because seriously, right now it couldn't make anything worse. Unfortunately the time has come for me to step aside. I'm done with politics. It is time for someone else to put the saddle on his/her ass. No more ridding the pickle for free. 😃😃

And I'm not looking to get rich, the increased bonuses help supply my mil. I realize this crappy econ module won't ever be worth donkey dung, until something major is over hauled. And you are 100% correct, when something is "fixed" something else is normally broken in the process.

Alas it is only a matter of when and not if... Since FG took office 3 weeks ago wages, q7 weapons, and CC to gold ratios have all seen losses of more than 25%... If Admin does not update the Econ mod we will see v1 pricing here before ISON brightens our lives.

Ironically the mil communes keep job market wages artificially high for the moment while the suffocating income tax rates keep the treasury from evenly distributing the tax burden upon our eAmerican citizenry... Though once the economy's cyclical 'orbit' decays back to v1 wages of 5 dollars / day (or lower) the current budget levels despite the recent deep cuts will seem extravagant by comparison.

Though I'm a Canadian looking in, I was always skeptical about the results that shedding region bonuses would harm AFA votes. Based on their articles and non-dwindling membership, they have a very dedicated media and voting core REGARDLESS of region bonuses. Whereas the decrease in votes in OTHER parties can reflect that other parties have voters that support region bonuses. IMO the "poison pill" strategy of shedding region bonuses aren't getting you the intended results, but added on another poison that got you the opposite.

@Squirtious VAT taxes will discourage trade more though, and we are already not trading enough. I would agree to change for more in that direction, but lets not switch to primarily VAT.

Bonus would provide us a little edge to help the non funded MU in america. Of course I'm talking about my MU and also others like EZC.

The coffer are gonna run dry anyway because funded group are taking in more supply ever since we dropped our bonus.

Beside, I think the strategy has been proven to be unefective has the problem hasn't been resolved, and may never be solved.

Voted. I've been looking at the same numbers and saying the same thing for months now. But nobody can be swayed. At this point, there's so much of an outcry over the bonus plan tha anybody who refuses to get back our 10/10 bonuses might find themselves losing the next election.

Tiamati I would point out that FG nor Congress have changed any econ factors. I fail to see how that has contributed to the prices continuing to drop. You also mention how the mil communes are keeping the wages artificially high. Is $15 really that high? I run a private MU commune and I must say that what I pay out in supplies is much greater than $15. I don't see the connection.

10/10 and open borders, and an active recruitment campaign internationally, and the nation (team) will again grow to be a world superpower. We use every citizenship available, we grow every MU and our own armed forces. We stop focusing on the negative, and steamroll forward under full power.

Even I was willing to watch the 10/10 strategies effects. But the trends don't lie, it's harming Unity more than it's harming AFA. But beyond that, it's harming our entire nation, all of us, and the team. And it can't go on.

Interesting Article; The AFA party January: 761 votes with 709 party members; not bad..they seem to 'come and go' as required.
Your observation deserve a brief review of the composition of the "AFA" party you have referenced.
Using the definition of an eAmerican as: an eCitizen DOES NOT a) have a foreign newspaper, b) have more damage done for eAmerica than 'other nations', c) command/particpate in a 'foreign' military unit, d) have their 'about me' in a "foreign" language, our review disclosed that:
1. ~75% of their congress members (who can all grant 'more eUSA ciizenships/greencards to their home country friends and continue feeding the party membership from abroad) do not minimally meet the above definition of "eAmerican"(egreencarded, yes)
2. The AFA party member list (~ 700) is similar in it's multinational characteristic,
3. If bar-graphed by 'level' (~30 - 62) there would be a fairly uniform distribution by rank, however the lower ranks of their membership would probably be a good place to search for bots, in my opinion. The last ePlato change of not directly electing your own representatives has allowed the eUSA congress to be "packed"; good luck; one can only fight fire with fire, or disclosure.

Intentionally tanking the economy was never a good plan. From what I understand, the thought was to try to hurt so-called PTO's those in charge thought were foreign. Unfortunately for the plan, most of AFA are eAmerican citizens (and have been since day one), in which case hurting them hurts *collective shocked gasp here* all eAmericans. Shutting down our borders successfully ostracized in INCI, but not much else.

In the words of folks wiser than this plan's originators: You've made your bed, now lay in it.

I think you guys are mixing two issues:

On one hand the economic situation is getting worst everywhere due to the gold loosing value, thus increasing a lot the travel costs and all costs associated with CC including MPPs.

While 6-7 months ago 30 MPPs cost 200 gold in currency, same MPPs now cost 1500 gold (50 gold each). So for example it would have cost 75K CC to sign MPPs back then at todays prices.

This has nothing to do with bonuses but with game mechanics, same has happened to traveling, the cost has gone up by 7.5 times in the last 6-7 months alone and 11.5 times from when gold traded at 2300 CC.

Second issue is that the PTO has been used by some to try and steer USA in a certain direction (EDEN to be more precisely) as has become evident by the Romaninas who have had a change of hart and pulled their support for AFA. This will continue until USA has a concise position on the international stage and is part of an alliance, only then this side of the PTOers will loose steam over time. Until they perceive there is a chance to influence internal USA policy through this "threat" of PTO or through the actual PTO (EDEN has played both sides creating the threat and then offering help to solve it) they will stay and continue.

What the "low" bonus policy has done is over time caused the economic and opportunistic economically players to leave, thus lowering the pool of opportunistic players "for hire" for elections as they generally have no interest in the politics but would not refuse payment for their votes.

In short in the curent situation the PTO will be unable to succeed because based on political ambitions alone AFA will never be able to rally enough support, if USA becomes a full member of CoT (here the "if" is both ways), then the political side of the PTO could be solved as well over time, then only economic opportunist by themselves would not present a danger but only an expensive "option" for american opportunists like Ajay.

You'd better start fighting for eUSA first and then express your opinions.

AFA has one third of the congress. Multiply that with the number of CS passes per congressmen, and there you have hundreds entering the US and none leaving.

I don't know if you have noticed but the situation is the same allover the world, and the prices are the same everywhere. The bonuses determine whether your return on investment is 15 years or 30 years. No one right in his head would invest into anything with that return, so any point you make about economy is moot.

The article is about how the lack of bonuses is not affecting the AFA. They can still import their ppl, as could the other congresscritters, if they so chose. Numbers are down across the board, which means even if AFA is importing these so called 200-300 PTOer's per month, like the govt claims they are doing. then they sure as he11 ARE NOT VOTING. You are a liar, because you do not add the CS approvals that AFA has into your analysis. Please count how many PTO supporters they could have imported, but couldn't. Please count how many PTO supporters they have imported, which have left. Both are public data.

Yes that is because their congressmen aren't approving anyone. But AFA would approve anyone who joins their cause.

If they were allowed the 200-300 as some claim above, then AFA should have taken over this country months ago.

Roger, you I do know, from many many moons ago. And you are correct on one point, AFA is a legitimate party. As is any party listed on the party page. It was bought and paid for, like any other. It has members, like any other. But you are killing that party, with your insistent whining and crying about not being elected CP. I am sure there are wonderful members, who could do great things with that party, if you would just leave them alone to do it.
