Ticket to the admins
Neil Lewis
I have just requested a few changes to the game via a ticket to the admins, but thought I'd seek the wider communities views on their workability.
The first two relate to ATO efforts:
1) I've requested that the admins reinstate the ability to reject citizenship applications. This used to be the case, but recently the citizenship requests have a expiration date. Therefore an undesirable can apply and wait to be accepted, whether it's deliberate or by accident. Of course this button can be circumvented by some prior arrangement, i.e PMing a Congressman before submitting an application. But a vigilant ATO Congressman may still be able to intervene and prevent it. I've asked that applicants are them banned from reapplying for a month.
Pros: Vigilant congressmen can reject potential threats
Cons: As mentioned above, collusion could bypass the system
2) You join political parties via application or invite IRL, so why not in-game? Allow political parties to close membership to via written application or invite only. This is similar to the MUs. Both the PP & vPP will need to accept the request to join. The PP & vPP will also be able to expel a member if they use their CS passes incorrectly or are looking like a PTO threat. Of course this does not guarantee safety if the PP & vPP accounts are hacked.
Pros: No party-hopping for spying. Parties potentially safe from PTO threats.
Cons: Party 'safe' from ATO action if the leaders goes rogue & deliberately lets in PTOers. A check on this is for the vPP to automatically be the highest loser in the PP elections & then blocks new membership.
The extra suggestion I've submitted is regarding MUs:
3) I've asked that they be allowed to own & run companies. Players can even donate companies if needed. Therefore MUs can run their communes directly, Commanders & 2-i-Cs will be responsible for supplying workers. This is a mechanic that runs well on a similar game.
Pros: Commune supply safe from players leaving MUs, going inactive or having connection issues as at least one of the leaders will be online.
I wonder if these changes will ever come into effect & whether the wider community thinks any of them are viable.
It's been posted on the game forums too: https://forum.erepublik.com/index.php?/forum/10-the-new-world/

This won't happen sadly, It makes too much sense and it'd be useful without creating any more spending 🙁
1. Any one congressman can effectively block out every newcomer
2. good idea
3. Doubt if it will happen/complicated
"1. Any one congressman can effectively block out every newcomer"
not on citizenship requests; you have to accept or do nothing until it expires. being able to refuse entry again would be useful
This would be great but I doubt it will happen
This is against the actions of your party. If you think it's a good idea, why are you supporting something to the contrary?
I supported some of the ideas like being able to kick out spies and trolls from a party like you can in MUs, I want a better and fair UK and I don't feel that we have that now that's why I'm in vendetta and was in new era.
Yes, we just want a fair UK, a demacratic UK, and we accept everyone who want help us. We want fair elections and no PTO's on parties. So every party elect it's own PP and it's own congress list. Other parties don't gang together like now. Why do the UK leaders not talk with us? I am sure we find a solution to make veryone happy

1) In the case of NE, they would merely arrange to be online when the serbian applies so that people don't have time to edit any PTOers. Plus even if you reject them, it is pointless unless they were then banned from reapplying for a period of time.
2) And that would stop ATO measures that have just taken place against NE. The PP being able to expel people would mean the likes of Dapper expelling everyone who didn't agree with him etc. Plus it could be seen as very newbie unfriendly.
3) I wonder how many new MUs will spring up that is a single citizen large? Open to abuse.
1) I did point out that there's a way around it. I asked for a month's ban
2) It would stop random joining of parties for spying, PTOing, etc. It would mean we'd have to be smart & get a relatively unknown into a party to ATO it.
3) There's still a cost to employ & run the companies. It spreads the workload for MU suppliers
2) you have to apply to join a political party IRL [or be invited] so why not in game?
3) you know full well what happens to a MU if a supplier buggers off or goes inactive or had connection issues. having the commune run directly by the MU means a continual supply as at least one of the leadership will be online
The ideas you suggest might be great from the point of view of what the eUK would love to have in place right now, but in the context of other countries that don't have a PTO threat then the first two suggestions would be strongly hated.
In terms of three, then yes I know. But on the flip side, a MU should have its resources set up so that the supplies aren't entirely run from one account.
**Edited in light of previous comments**
How about make citizenship requests go to the inbox of a random congressman who has to accept or deny? Immigration officers in RL don't get to pick to go over the applications of all of their friends.
Great idea. Voted. Whats the similar game by the way?
1.It wouldn't do anything...there would just be one congresman online when CS needs to be accepted
2.You cannot forbid someone to join political party, freedom of speech and a right to be politicly involved, don't you think?
3.Maybe but there would be a lot of problems with this action
You can kick someone out of a real life party if the majority of the party agrees. It's called democracy, something the eUK needs
Well in that case yeah ok,but you cannot forbid someone to join and then just kick him out.
There would have to be another vote from case to case and that is what admins won't do
Fingers crossed but based on what I've seen over the past couple of years, I'm not holding my breath!
