Three Years and a Day: A Perspective Piece

Greetings eIreland,

It has been quite a while since I wrote to you. I have played this game for 3 years and a day. And if by any chance you would care to read my perspective on things this would be your chance! If you dont, well then troll me maliciously or just ignore it. Either works for me 🙂

When I started playing this game, it was so very different. Business mattered. Markets mattered. War was something you did in a few clicks a day, unless you had a limitless master card. Politics were real, there was the left versus right struggle, there were even economic shortages! (Who remembers the Irish famine of the first UK conflict? Food prices rose 3-400😵 On that note when I started playing this game eIreland was ALLIED to the eUK.

My journey in eIreland was on and off a positive and negative experience. I fought so many "battles" that made this game fun. I lost all of them in the long run. I fought to keep eIreland neutral, because if we build up, surely we could do something grand. I was wrong. I fought against theft, theft that was accepted, and actually ended up working out? (I HATED the ICA, and their leaders, when it was created. But it seems to have worked.) I fought to be a CP, and lost. Which is probably good, because I was not the best in eIndia. (Though I like to, as a point of pride, blame that mess on the douches I had to work with :/)

The purpose of this article, or letter to all of you, as I like to view it, is to encourage action. By en large, throughout my whole elife, I have been overly cautious. I have been worried about this, that, and everything else. Despite my worries, despite my predictions for certain doom, everything has worked out. I have been wrong so many times in this game, I want to encourage EVERYONE to not make my mistake. Live this elife like its the only one you've got. (Multis or not) Let us be bold, lets have FUN! There is almost no point in planning, because tomorrow admin could make us all butt hurt. Lets live like rl Irish stereotypes, and be drunken wreckless fighters. Fight the eUS and maybe get wiped? sure! Take oil from the brits and incur the wrath of ONE? sure! Crazier things have happened. London has fallen. North Dakota was eIrish once. IUP was the largest party, dropped, then reclaimed dominance. Weird things happen, lets embrace that!

I doubt this will matter much, as ive only been re-citizenized recently, but consider my words. Throw your worries aside, and lets make this game fun for everyone. We screw up, and were back to where we are in a few months at the very worst. Thanks to all my old friends, and hello to all my new ones. You guys make this awful game worth it!
