Three Cheers to Senator Witherd1
The ADF thanks Senator Witherd1 for donating his Congress Medal Gold to the ADF. The soldiers of Australia salute your fine example.
The money will be used to properly train our Joeys is tactics,
cunning camouflage,
and soldiering on in harsh conditions.
How to Join
There are no entry requirements, however there are a couple things to do before joining.
- Sign up on the eAustralian forums, also home to party forums, militia forums, senate, and various other forums - http://community.auserepublik.com/index.php
- Once you have signed up and been approved (approval is to prevent spam bots, which we have been pestered with in huge numbers in recent months), follow this tutorial here, which will give you access to more of our forums - http://community.auserepublik.com/index.php?topic=15946.0
- After your application is accepted (this is to prevent enemies and the like from seeing all our business), post in this thread with the requested details in the first post - http://community.auserepublik.com/index.php?topic=16530.0
This may seem a little bit of work, but luckily you only have to do it once. After you've done all this, you'll be allocated into the orientation squad where you'll learn how everything works, and after a little while you'll be moved into the main ADF regiments, and from there you can only go up (unless you cause problems or ignore roll calls, then I suppose you could go out as well).
Need more supplies?
Since eRepublik increased the number of fights you can do per day, you can now hit up to 240 times with food fights, so if you're an active fighter, ADF supplies just won't be enough (we simply can't sustainably supply that much).
So if you're hankering for more supplies, many militia's in eAustralia also allow you to be a member of them in addition to the ADF. This makes for a prime opportunity to get more supplies and increase the damage you do for Australia and our allies, and really, is there any reason not to do more for the country?
That also means that if you already belong to another MU and you are Australian, you too can still join the ADF for extra supplies. Its the way we roll to roll over our opposition. The following military units all have soldiers co-serving in the ADF:

All this back patting is great, but witherd1 wouldn't have even won if he didn't promise to give the gold. He had 2 votes when he started telling everyone that he would be giving gold if he won.
Nice guy and all, but what he did was more buying votes than being patriotic IMO.
Patriotism is serving one's country at a time of need. Whether that comes in the form of picking up a gun and standing a post, donating to help supply our soldiers at a time when our national finances have just started to be replenished, or voting to end a war that would have got us wiped had it have not been for the great work of our Prime Minister, her cabinet team and some of our Senators. Sadly, there are not enough in our legislature who hold the same concern for our country's future.

larsonman, I can tell you for fact, that the promise of donating the gold bought me exactly 1 vote. I would be willing to bet that there were a good few other Senators that get through with multi votes every election, yet you seem unconcerned about that?
I didnt ask for this article, in fact I told Majester that it wasnt needed when he hinted at it, that I would just put my own article out so that those that were following my campaign would know that I fulfilled the promise.
There are much greater problems with the Congress system, namely those that use multis to get their votes... watch the elections, youll see who they are... why would people vote for Congressmen that do nothing term in, term out. My thoughts are.... they dont.
I campaigned hard in the last election, I spoke to people at length, in pm's to tell them what I am about within Senate, and what my goals were for this term, and what I stand for. Show me ONE other Senator that has done that, or ..
... even gives a shit.
To be honest, I have always cared about what has happened in Senate, and the future of this country, but this last term or two has really got me feeling like I could care less. The bitching and this kind of shit like larsonman and infin, just take the bad shit and amplify it, Im really done for now.
I think the rest of the lazy assed Senators need to sort their shit out and give a shit about this country, and less about themselves, and then maybe Ill care again.
I would also ask where the hell H.Nelson disappeared to? So much for all his talk about changing things in Senate, but as soon as he lost the Speaker election, he reported me to the IG for no reason and sulked off.
Perhaps you should be asking questions in that direction rather than the guy that actually fulfilled something that he said he would do, and much much more.
Not sure if I really want anything to do with Senate anymore atm tbh.
