Dioism cannot be called a religion.
I have respect for Dio Brandy, and respect for emerick, and all other high ranking people in this game. They will knoiw much more about this game then I will ever. I feel the need to say that before I write this article.
There is a major difference between religion and strategy. Dio is a strategy, not a religion.Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Bhuddism, are all forms of religion. You should respect all of them.
But bottom line, this is a game. Nothing more, but people sometimes get their erep and RL livesd crossed. To call this a religion is agianst all RL religions anyway. You are obeying false idols.
It seems a little over the top to obey by the words of people who many have never met in RL life. Having a role model over this game is perfectly fine. Having a strategy thats you got from Dio Brandy or Emerick is also fine. But going so far to call it a relgion is a little crazy.
I'm just trying to say, calm down about Dio. It is nothing to fight about. It is not a religion. It is the words of a former legend on erepublik. I have no problems with the words, I have a problem with the obsession. Keep it to yourself.

Okay. Well by your argument, the in game economy cant be called an economy. Nor the political system. Also, newspapers cant be called newspapers since theres no paper.
Dioism is the in game model of an aspect of real life, just like the above examples. No, its not the same, but neither is clicking 6 buttons to destroy a wall in an attempt to conquer a region, in which case we should stop having a military module, as that clearly offends the real military.
All of what you said is true, but no where in the military does it say "if you make a military simulation of the copmuter, we will be offended"
In Christianity, it is one of the 10 commandments to not pray to false idols.

This article was not for the purpose to start an arguement, it was to show people that there was nothing to argue about.
