Possibly the most awesome newspaper in eRepublik not to have gotten an Media Mogul medal! Yes, that's an obvious hint, motherf*ckers.

It's election time in Australia, RL. Abbott vs. Gillard, Liberal vs. Labor, Left vs. Right. It would be an awesome time for eAustralia - a time to rekindle traditional political affiliations, and heck, even hold our own opinion polls and what-not. Personally for me, it would be a time to promote whom I'm voting for this election, SOL - Senator Online, which is a Party that represents Electronic Direct Democracy.

It also reminds me, like I'm sure it does for many, why we joined eRepublik. Most active players in eRepublik, and eAustralia, have at point dabbled in politics. Note the bolding....

POLITICS.

Politics is a massive part of eRepublik, and why eRepublikans joined up in the first place.

Sure, we get caught up in all the bullshit, like EDEN vs. PHOENIX, but ultimately, most us didn't join for military reasons, or even economic. It was for politics.

So - any eAustralian, young or old, wishing to take part in politics has several options, normally. They would join a party, and attempt to solidify themselves in the party, by partaking in discussions of policies.

The beauty of eRepublik, is that you could join a party that was traditional centre-left or centre-right, or even try out something different, like far-left or far-right, and who knows, be successful in seeing how those orientations would work in "The New World".

If they are successful in making a name for themselves, they would get the chance to represent that party in the Congress elections, or even lead their party for a term as Party President.

The ultimate goal, of course, to be the Country President!

I can tell you first hand, my political career in eRepublik was an absolute blast. It was challenging, filled with hard work, yet it never seemed so because it was a labour of love.

But none of these opportunities exist now for eAustralians. Indonesia not only has PTO'd us, but now it just seems... wrong. For months now, they could've taken Western Australia from us, or even wiped us out. But no, they just "hold" this PTO, and frankly, I feel they are doing this deliberately, and it's for the purpose of utterly killing our active population.

It's working - our forums, IRC, Media... EVERY aspect of eAustralia is dying.

This isn't a PTO - it's a freaking eGenocide.

So I call upon the people of eIndonesia. I ask that you...



No, really. I mean this. This isn't a "f*ck you", or a lulz article. You are seriously, seriously wiping out an entire nation of people from playing eRepublik.

Let our players play the game as it was intended. Let them run for politics, share their beliefs, make a difference, get some meaningful fun out of the game. This has gone far enough, and your actions are a detriment to eIndonesia, eAustralia, and eRepublik as a whole.
