This is NOT...

Day 1,593, 18:15 Published in South Africa South Africa by K9 Jazpurr

... an April fool's joke!

Sorry this is so late, but with power cuts, internet issues and plotting to take over the world, I haven't been able to get at this sooner.
So without further ado, the new bot prices in eSA are as follows... *drum roll*

EDIT(Day 1594, 04:5😎: Fixed Q2 food from 1.32 to 1.31

Q1 food - 0.65 (0.59 after tax)
Q2 food - 1.31 (1.18 after tax)
Q3 food - 1.97 (1.76 after tax)
Q4 food - 2.63 (2.35 after tax)
Q5 food - 3.29 (2.94 after tax)

Q1 weapons - 6.59 ( 5.88 after tax)
Q2 weapons - 13.17 (11.76 after tax)
Q3 weapons - 19.76 (17.64 after tax)
Q4 weapons - 26.34 (23.52 after tax)
Q5 weapons - 32.93 (29.40 after tax)

RAW - 0.28

So that means, for example that the bot will buy your q1 weapons if you put it up on the market for maximum 6.59, 0.71 goes to the country and you get 5.88 in your pocket. If you're a foreigner, you'll have to add import tax to the price.

Psst... SPOILER ALERT!!
For those of you who haven't noticed yet...

Notice how you are TOLD what the bot price is? All you have to do is add your country's vat tax and import tax (if applicable). BUT, it can be wrong sometimes. For instance, it says I should sell RAW at 0.29 but the max the bot will buy from me is at 0.28. It's a good guideline though. I think there are discrepencies with how it's rounded off and the hidden decimals. I'll figure that out some other day.

Anywho...moving on.

Before the bot lowered its prices... AGAIN, I had just finished a detailed 12-hour review of my sales. I figured I should wait to publish it together with the new prices. It must be noted that even though prices have fallen globally and I'm selling at a lower price, I'm also buying at a lower price, so my profit margin, for the most part, would stay the same. It just depends where I go shopping.

Remember, the following was recorded BEFORE the latest change in bot prices, but the profit figures would still generally stay the same. Also, you'll notice that instead of 01:52, 02:52, etc, I put 01:50, 02:50, etc (the bot buys every 51st minute). That's a mistake I only picked up after taking all the screen shots and uploading them. Sorry.

Don't be overwhelmed by all the seemingly random numbers, this is just a small snippet of a document I used. I just wanted to show you how the amount of stock you put on sale affects how much the bot will buy. It's not a constant relation but the general pattern is that the more you put on sale, the more it will buy.

The following are records of sales for 12 hours...

Notice how whenever I bought a lot of stock of one item and added it on sale, the bot bought more of that item the next hour than it did the previous hour. The goal is to keep buying stock and to put more stock on sale so that the bot buys more. You can stock up every hour, every six hours or even only once a day. Depends on how much time you're willing to commit to this game and also how much storage space you have.

Also notice that I averaged about 98 ZAR net profit. That is based on my minimum profit margin of 0.20/item that I set. But, I managed to purchase stock at even lower prices so my profit was actually about 50% more.

Forgive my lack of screen shots of eRep itself, in case you needed that proof, but it was enough work as it is creating the excel document. What you see here is just a simplified snippet of a more elaborate and complicated spreadsheet (I like making spreadsheets - don't judge me!)
Besides, you can trust me... I have no reason to fabricate all this data. I'm sharing this because I believe that the more of us who employ this strategy, the better off eSA will be.
Remember, the more stock you put on sale, the more you sell, and not only do you make more money, but also more taxes go to eSA and the better equipped your government will be to serve you.

Make a difference, be the change!
