For the past few months, there has been very little in the way of political excitement. CPs have come and gone, congress has been elected without a fight, and there has been no debate or argument. So everything's sweet right? Wrong.
In eNZ right now, there are three fairly equally proportioned groups - the Serbians, the Slovenians, and the rest of us who are lumped into the English speaking category (a.k.a the PnPP). As the Serbs and Slovs are working together, they have majority control over the nation. This means that any decision that is made in the nation is essentially made as a deal between those two groups.
They decide who gets to be president.
They decide who gets into congress.
They decide EVERYTHING!
This is the reason that we have such low player retention in our nation.
This is the reason everyone thinks eNZ is "boring".
This is the reason we are stagnating.
I'm not asking for much - just that the predetermined elections be brought to an end. I want to see three CP candidates, all with similar numbers of support, battling it out in a debate to win over the undecided public.
This is what eNZ needs to survive, the question is whether the Serbs and Slovs have the balls to battle it out properly for once.
Edit: People are saying that this is not what the PnPP truly wants. I've started a poll here, which is currently 6 - 0 in favour of abolishing the unfair back-room deals.

My argument is that this is impossible due to the deals that are being made between the Serbs and Slovs. It is not possible for anyone else to have a say.
It only takes one strong candidate to make a challenge to this "system", Bass. Do it and you may be surprised at how much support you get, but you can't expect the system to change because someone calls foul on it.
You say the voters should decide and not a few players; this is the reason I left eIreland, because a few players were deciding. I want the same exact thing, but I realize now that for the voters to decide the voters have to be convinced about what they are told by those you claim are making the choices. Convince them, Bass, and this system can change.

it is the same in serbia... there is max of 50 people who are pulling chains since I play the game,and that is more than one and half year... they are just changing from month to month. you cant do much to change things... maybe just to bring more kiwis into the game.
my opinion: we should attack australia and take some of their resource.
That would definitely make for a good baby boom. I don't believe any of the Serb/Slov candidates wish to explore that option though, as they are less interested in a baby boom and more interested in keeping things as they are.
Baby boom = no power for them.
If we want a real baby boom, we can never do it with them in power, unfortunately 🙁
The problem isn't, and never will be, the backdoor deals. The problem is, and always will be, the apathy of the voters, the ones that simply go along with party, go along with nation, go along with alliance, without ever questioning everything, thinking blind obedience is the same thing as patriotism. Between the 2-click crowd and the sheep, those who seek what you and I seek--strong leadership, spirited campaigning, and active participation--are outnumbered.
Get a candidate or two willing to create a real grass-roots movement, and the status quo will change within a single election cycle.
Gotta agree with you there, but the main problem is that the sheep of the Serbian and Slovenian parties so rarely engage in any form of communication with us that it's almost impossible to convert them. The only way is to mass message, and half of them probably don't even speak English.
@bass like i see on fast reading your comments you are crying preety much about everything? When a month or two back, partys "owned" by evil serbs and slovenians, were TO one after another, things were not so dark for you ?? till of course mayority of this conscious woters were banned xD
Yes zoomenager, I know the problem and I know the solution. So it's not really crying about it. If I didn't have the solution it would be crying about it.
The previous TO was nothing but fun, everyone knows that, and I don't really care if it pissed anyone off, you all bounced back and nothing of value was lost.

I would love nothing more than the Serbs to get on the forums more often. Could you guys tell me what puts you off the most for posting regularly? Would love to fix any problem that's around.
From your last article you wrote about making changes i found some flaws.
1. Trying to run for CP in PnPP, then ripping on them
2. Ripping off a large number of voters.
All these will not get you to CP with everyone mad at you ripping on them. GL though getting to CP 🙂
