The real problem with foreign policy is that it's too foreign~

Next up: A brief thesis on why US foreign policy should be more like candy
Much of the US has been in sustained outrage for the past month over the U.S.'s foreign policy, our departure from Terra, and the plans for a new controversial alliance. Now US citizens have a right to be, I'm just saying you're doing it wrong. We are mad at the wrong people for the wrong reasons. Well maybe not completely, but we need to stop pretending like this all came out of left field. While what happened wasn't silky smooth nor particularly well executed, it was however, to an extent, inevitable. Now let me tell you why:
in·ev·i·ta·ble [in-ev-i-tuh-buhl]
adjective
1.
unable to be avoided, evaded, or escaped; certain; necessary: an inevitable conclusion.
The United State's decision to not rejoin Terra after leaving during the failed experiment with CTRL surprised some, so did leaving in the first place, but if you think about it, it really shouldn't have. The US and Terra were and are incompatible, and the US being part of Terra was not sustainable. In theory, Terra was created to be a third alliance, not EDEN or ONE, and though it may have similar interests it was theoretically a whole different alliance which didn't spend the majority of it's damage in the balkans. In practice, Terra added a nice letter to the beginning of EDEN and...well yeah, TEDEN foreva. So, in that sense Terra was a failed experiment, the Terra/EDEN joint alliance wasn't in line with what the US wanted out of it, nor with how the US has acted in the history of this game. So where are we now? Well to an extent we're back where we started, though we may have pissed off some of our allies, an official policy of "neutrality" isn't a bad one for the eUS. We've made mistakes, and by letting Terra evolve the way it did we set ourselves up for a lose/lose situation. Theoretically there are lessons to be learned, but for now, we just have to try to move forward. Or not, maybe more needless name calling is in order.
Which brings me to
The Proteus Bump
It's been a while since I've given my superimportantsupersoughtafter endorsement, which is probably for the best since my endorsements have pretty much no meaning, but meh I'm doing it this month. Of the candidates, it's clear to me that the candidate who can lead this country forward is Civil Anarchy. He's one of the most intelligent and actually useful people I know in this game...I've served in cabinets with him and I know firsthand, he'll know what he's doing. Also, for all the shit that's going down in the eUS at the moment, Civil is the best person to lead us forward. We don't need apologetic candidates who will try to backpeddle, that's impossible and just going to screw us up more, we need someone who can lead our country forward. In other words we need Anarchy, so long as it's Civil

So yeah Civil, Proteus Bump is all yours, don't you feel special~

The World According to Drublood
Okay, that title is a little melodramatic, but I'm really just referring to one comment here,
"...which leaves Paul Proteus who I do not know but must assume is also a Pfeifferist. This ticket is just like the last few Pfeiffer picked tickets..." -Drublood
There are so many things wrong with that statement, namely the fact that HE ADMITS HE DOESN'T KNOW WHO I AM. Wounded pride aside, this is just ridiculous, and theres not much to say to that. I mean, I didn't think I had a subscription to "trrbl elitism weekly" but if drublood "assumes" it, it's probably true. To be honest, I didn't even know there was an elitist weekly

Civil whatever doesn't believe in term limits, why do we need the same lame ares getting banned from the congressional forums over and over again, or the same CP's over and over again, the only thing going for him in my book is he hasn't been CP yet. An Civil intelligent(?), what 18 year old is? But it is just a game and we can all pretend that writing well means you be smart something or other...
CivilAnarchy is an extension of a Evry government. 'nuff said.
VOTE HALIMAN! Canada and USA and shall sleep together once more!
I agree with peace i suck at writing but i try to get my word out!
As of right now CA is the only candidate who refuses to work with Ajay.....seems like an easy choice.
vote for Civil Anarchy.
😁^ "..we can all pretend that writing well means you be smart something"
Yes we can.
Peace: That made no sense, please submit a coherent list of complaints on Civil next time
IronToader: I respectfully disagree that Haliman would help the US going forward more
Excellent to see you writing again PP.

Paul; Can you tell us a bit more about some of the reasons as to why the US population, or journalists such as yourself, felt that TERRA was not worth having? I mean looking at the map it looks like France gave it's all for TERRA; we even have 1 rubber region that we openly allotted to the US.
As for other Allies, I know that Germany was always on-board, and Brazil certainly help raze Spain to give the US access to deer.
What more does the US People want from its allies?
Cyrano, you're missing what I was saying, I was not discussing the values of Terra, I was merely saying it wasn't what the US was looking for when it was created
