Third Time's a Charm

Or so the old adage goes. After two consecutive terms as a congressman from Wallonia I am again running to represent the people of Belgium in congress.

Some people may have noticed that after three months with BfB I have recently changed parties and joined Res Belgica.



I did so without making a public announcement or creating a lot of fanfare because I owe a lot to BfB and I am not so unappreciative as to disrespect the party that put me in congress for two terms.

Basically I moved somewhere that is more in tune with my own personal ideals on elections and Belgian progress.



With that out of the way let me tell you why you must vote for me. In congress, no two people have the same opinion on every issue. Many times there is no obvious solution to the challenges our nation faces. Multiple ideas must be discussed, debated and perfected before even a simple law can be passed.



This means that while a particular congressman's position on specific issues is important, more important is his or her activity and reasonableness. Without activity, there will be that many fewer ideas and solutions. Without reasonableness, these ideas and solutions can never be shaped into legislation all of congress can pass.

Too many congressmen are inactive and missing from debate on major legislation, to say nothing of everyday discussions. It is disgraceful

I have always prided myself on my activity and devotion to the people of Belgium. I received a 5/5 for the second straight month in Sammy Tanghe's excellent congressional report and was named Congressman of the Month in the same report.

So on election day I ask each and every Belgian to carefully examine each candidate before voting, check the vote tallies and vote where it will do the most good. Congress is about representing Belgium, not sexy avatars.
