Thinking in Leaving eR?

Day 2,400, 02:58 Published in Poland Netherlands by BloB IV The Great

Do you think eRepublik is boring? Are you thinking in dying? In committing esuicide? Can't you find a decent reason to continue playing ? Don't be in despair and think it twice; I'll give a few tips to, at least, delay you fatal decision 😛 ; These advises are intended to new comers that are thinking in leaving the game in an early stage because of the lack of motivation, but could give a new push to medium advanced players - so I know it will be a almost impossible mission.

1.- Goals: It's very important to put some objetives ahead. Depending on your play style, you can draw some marks:

- If you are a warmonger, you are lucky because Plato loves you deeply; You have weekly challenges with plenty of rewards - not so generous and not so profitable, that's true , but if you are going to fight anyway, they will give you some extra goodies; Think that a 3-4 months ago there were no challenges either...
Also, you have the time-to-time Missions or competitions, that spice a little the game; The first missions use to be easy to accomplish, and there are missions that can fit your possibilities. But if you don't want to spend so much emoney and resources so quickly, and you are patient, you can pick the Freedom Fighter and Mercenary Medals ; Achieving those takes a slower pace, because you have to think carefully what countries you are going to travel to maximize your damage; If you plan well, a single travel could mean getting 2 countries for Mercenary, a battle for freedom fighter and, if you are lucky, a Battle Hero (or a true patriot if you are fighting for your CS country)

So, you is a fricking God'o'War, AHOOO

- If you are a political animal , you have a lot of work to be done; If you are a laborious and active person, with no problem to socialize , you will find no trouble to get ahead in your party: propose new activities and contest ( or take part of them, to get extra money) and be active on your party's forums; that's will surely lead you to be a candidate for your country's Congress and be part or your country's fate. In this point, maybe you would want to go farther and be part of the goverment: If you've made enough and good friends, and ,as I said , you are a hard working politician, it's almost sure you will get a position as a helper on a goverment, and if you stand out in any parcel (Defense, Foreign affairs...) you will be promoted soon. And who knows, someday, when you feel ready, you can aspire to the maximum prize in politics: Becoming country president; But rough and long the path to the force is, my padawan.

- If you like economics....well...ummm...don't know what to tell you. This module has been declining and declining in last years. Monetary and goods market are so static, and lately, even missions weren't able to dramatically move the line up or down. There are no fluctuations, there are no profits. Sad but true. My only advice here is that if you like economics , you'll have to expect little earnings, so try to move as more quantity as you can: And to do this, or you have an enormous ( dramatic suspense...)...warehouse or try to get and manage an Organization ( there's no 10-gold-per-day limit in Orgs...)

This is what is left of economy module in eR..enjoy, you ludopats!

- And if you feel like you can contribute to the press , go ahead. Not so many players feel ready to take the step, but believe me , most of the time is very self-rewarding. Only you have to be original, funny , have a decent written expression and be creative. And write about eRepublik. Don't try to talk about real Life all the time( and even less if you talk about real life politics).

2.- Socialize: Interacting with other people in the game could be the real reason for not leaving the game. Make friends, chat with them on your MU's ingame chat; If you want to go further, try chatting thru IRC- Internet relay Chat - It's an enriched chat mainframe with an huge community suporting it ; There you will find the most important channels ( chat rooms) to discuss stuff of your Militia, your Political Party or your country's affairs If you want to know more about IRC, just click here) Believe me, if you are able to gather a cool friend group , and have fun with them, it'll be harder to quit this crap 😛

3.- Temporary vacations: Well, I see, you are overwhelmed or overbored. Count until 1000 and decide to take it easy; Enter the game just to work and train, and go out and take some beers with your friends, rewatch your fantasy-scifi saga, play other games, f*ck as frequently as you can...and come again (to the game, you dirty minds) with fresh ideas: Who knows, maybe when you come back, admins changed the game for the better ( I can hear people laughing... 😛)

She tells ya not to quit eR...will ya take her advise?

And , as a final piece of advice..If you finally decide to quit, don't ask the admins to erase your account. Just leave it die ( it takes a month), so that you could retake it sometime in the future ( and I know well what I'm talking about)
