Think about who you are.
Martin Warmonger
An "unauthorized" attack against the Brazilian occupiers in South Africa has been initiated recently, and the South African Government has urged all citizens to fight on the side of Brazil against the rebels. I, as a true South African, am urging you to ignore the government's bad judgement in this case.
The "good" relations between South African and Brazil is only a type of cover-story. The entire situation is bull. Brazil is still a foreign force which is holding our regions without paying us a single dime. Don't be idiots and fight for the enemy. No matter who started this rebellion, or who has or hasn't authorized it, FIGHT FOR IT.

Or you could fight for Brazil and not piss them off so eSA doesnt get wiped. Also, as has been said time and again, we dont have the numbers to defend against a PTO with all of our regions. Its as much holding up the contract as it is good strategy.
So we are rather kissing our enemy's ass and keeping them happy, rather than doing what's right, and at least attempting to safe our sovereignty? I'd rather see us fight for the right things in the right way (and lose our regions), than us being a Brazilian puppet-state which they just use to play with our provinces.
Wow Martin, you are soo disconnected, and soo short sighted
since we will uphold the treaty. every region we hold that we gave them in the treaty is a region that they will have to take back in a war with us which leaves eSA with the alliances that we share with Brazil(like eUSA for instance).
No, I'm not going in depth. All I see is that Brazil has ownership of our regions. Where has this sudden trust of our enemies come from?
Arent the government getting paid for the regions BRAZIL occupies ????
When you were inactive we got screwed by the other alliance. Basically its trust of necessity but also it is trust based on a Solid treaty. I believe its time to revisit the treaty, but as a nation starting RW's and stuff is not dignified and we look the fool. This is not the right way.
Tito 04 - No, not yet - I personally believe we should. The treaty stated that after we prove ourselves friends, rent will follow. I believe we have done that. Basically Brazil does not want the money they will pay us to be used against them. This makes sense, but conditions have been met and the treaty should be revisited
Revisit and burn the treaty is more like it. What kind of a country signs a treaty where they're basically giving their regions to an enemy nation? This RW needs to be won, and the government needs to get its head straight.
Well if Mark Morcom is telling the truth then we should fight for Brazil. And plus if we gain Brazil as an ally and Brazil returnes back to a Superpower then what we have done woulod set a good road for a MPP.Now it seems unfair but in the long term it would help us treamendusly. And i dont think this article is very popular you ONLY reaceved 2 VOTES. FIGHT FOR BRAZIL .
HAIL eBRAZIL
HAIL eSOUTH AFRICA
3 votes! : )
Where have you people BEEN for the last three months? Do you and Locutus not remember when we were in a conflict with Brazil, asked ONE for help, they said no, we were this close to being wiped (AGAIN), and a treaty was finally worked out? You people are so disconnected from the reality of the situation and hide your pride and ignorance under the guise of patriotism, when the people who actually do care about the nation are trying to negotiate with our long-seen-as enemies so we can both prosper in harmony. Just because Brazil is wiped doesn't mean there aren't a lot of Brazilians who will, eventually, take back their country, and in time, in the way you want it, go to war with us for breaking a treaty and stabbing them in the back.
oh lord... not again... I will simple ignore this... :{
*PS.: the guys who think Im chinese: Im brazilian and former MoFA of Brazil and one of the biggest supporters of this alliance Brazil-eSA...
Twilight you do know Martin was inactive for 12 months? Unlike you who is completely a noob, he knows more about eSA and eSA's history than you can dream of.
I'm fighting for the treaty and our awesome government. Hail eSA hail Brazil
People who have been away this long should get a clue before writing these ridiculous articles.
And he might no a lot of history of eSA but that is in the past, things changes and so did the relation between eSA and Brazil. People should stop being stuck in the past
What does history have to do with anything, Jason? The way the current situation came about is what matters. Just because he's older than me doesn't mean he automatically wins. Since, as you say, he's been inactive for a year, then it's an objective fact that I know more about our last conflict with Brazil and how we came to be in the situation we're in because I was there.
good read
What Fhaemita said.
Also, I've been a Congressman more times than Martin has and I've been a PP for two terms, so Martin can be considered noobier than I am in some aspects.
Yes I agree, but elderly people still hate Brazil for what they have done in the past. Most people born in that time hate the fact that we are allies with Brazil. So they will do anything to see Brazil fall.
Dont live in the past ! We should be grateful for the treaty we have with Brazil
And Like one wise man said : Yesterday is history , tomorow is a mystery and today is a gift .
^ People, that's Tito!
Our best and finest member in SAFU, Mark, I believe that you can let Tito in.
Tito, you've just been ranked to Sgt.
And you're perfectly okay with that, apparently? How about telling them what's gone down while they've been gone instead of letting them stay ignorant?
My friends... you have all been blinded by... something. Before we know it, the media will be spammed with "BRAZIL BETRAYED OUR TRUST... AGAIN" articles. People will tell each other... "We didn't see that coming..."
I see a lot of new players here who have joined LONG after Brazil and Indonesia pwned us time and time again, and are now attempting to know exactly what we went through. You have -no- idea what we went through to even have a slice of sovereignty.
Not at any point did Brazil stop harassing us, and by what I can see on the eRepublik map, they aren't done yet. For crying out loud! How can you "HAIL BRAZIL!!!" when they are openly in control of half the country?! If they weren't within our borders, this article wouldn't have existed, but that isn't the case.
Quit commenting on how "disconnected" I am. I know TWO things:
1) They haven't granted us 100% control over the country.
2) They can't be trusted.
And thank you to everyone who is fighting in the battle, it seems we're gonna have a good victory!
You have been gone a year. A freaking year. Do you not understand everything that could have happened during that time? You need to be informed of the current situation, yet you refuse to be, still standing proudly under the mask of patriotism.
You can say whatever you wish, that doesn't change the current situation which I am seeing on our map. Something isn't quite right.
eSA have a treaty with eBrazil, i can not make eSA break its word, simple as that, honour dictates that i uphold the treaty.
Screw the treaty. The piece of bull will just be renewed as soon as it expires! There will be no winning sovereignty without radicals in government.
Word @ Martin.
Seriously... I see that you guys want a peaceful solution. But with us speaking spanish in half of the country, dancing the samba... Not on my watch. I rather fight and fight and fight being a pain in the butt instead.
screw eBrazil, notice how ONE is TOing everything that isn't with them. We aren't with them, so once there done with China we will see if our government made the right desicion.

Their Quote complete
And hey, you know what else I noticed when I looked at the map? the fact that we're still there, which we wouldn't be had we not signed a treaty. We would have been steamrolled yet again, but some rational individuals in our government worked out something with officials in the Brazilian government and we're still on the map. If we break the treaty, we'd more than likely get steamrolled again, because Brazil has thousands of citizens, and some of them might be a tad bit vindictive, just like some of the people in our nation.
I think it is pretty known i am not the biggest fan of eBrazil, but nobody like somone that can not stick to their word, so until i have a reason to not abide by the treaty, i will be defending it.
You people are completely misreading what I am saying. I'm not saying we should invade Brazil, I'm saying we need to reclaim all the SOUTH AFRICAN regions. I cannot see how actual South Africans are disagreeing with me, and encouraging Brazil to keep them without rent.
How can you "HAIL BRAZIL!!!" when they are openly in control of half the country?!"
Allow me to explain.
ONE: "Hey eSA, we're attacking eBrazil, can you open a 3rd front for us? We'll totally help keep you on the map and everything."
eSA: "Oh sure, we trust you!"
*2 days later, ONE invasion fails and eBrazil starts attacking us*
eSA: "Hey ONE, remember when you said you would help keep us on the map? Well uh....um....why aren't you helping us any?"
ONE: "Who are you again? Oh right, you're the country that eBrazil's going to wipe, lolololol."
ONE screwed us, and the entire eBR/eSA problem stems from ignorant people who can't get over personal grudges in a VIDEO GAME. Since you've been gone Martin, there's thing thing called 'progress' that's been happening between the two countries. We've each been helping each other out, and even a few people who you thought would be heavily anti-Brazil are going "Hey, they're actually serious about this treaty, MAYBE eBRAZIL ISN'T SO BAD".
So yeah, Martin. Please stop being close-minded right out of inactivity, that's just a bad move in general.
Great to see you around here again, Martin. It´s nice to have another person playing that knows our history, how much we´ve blead for our country!
Hail eSA!
Let fly the Black Shield of Dignity!
Wait, so Sparkle... you're saying that South Africa (incomplete country)'s purpose in life is to keep Brazil happy? Like I said in my first comment: I'd rather have South Africa WITHOUT any regions, but know the community fought bravely for their sovereignty, than be Brazil's bitch.
I never said you wanted to invade Brazil, I'm saying, which is fact, that you want to break the treaty by taking back the regions, which could lead to the situation that I already outlined.
Stryke Blayde - I'm not talking about ONE here. I might be a personal supporter of ONE, and I might want eSA to rejoin ONE at some point, but in THIS conversation, I'm merely encouraging South Africa to retake its regions, with, or without Brazil's permission. Or without the eSA Government's permission, for that matter.
"I'd rather have South Africa WITHOUT any regions, but know the community fought bravely for their sovereignty, than be Brazil's bitch."
Right, right....you realize of course with the way this game's turning out, that the next time eSA is wiped could be the last time it's ever on the map, right? Cause simply put, admins could care less about smaller countries and are pretty much all but outright deleting them.
Then look at my second comment, Sparkle.
I'd rather the country live and have mutual respect with a friend, which is what we've achieved in your absence, then die a vindictive prick like you want oh so badly.
"...and I might want eSA to rejoin ONE at some point..."
Somebody didn't read...
"Right, right....you realize of course with the way this game's turning out, that the next time eSA is wiped could be the last time it's ever on the map, right? Cause simply put, admins could care less about smaller countries and are pretty much all but outright deleting them."
I can safely say my opinion still hasn't changed.
Well, Austin, ONE will have a much harder time TOing us if Brazil has the 4 regions we agreed to give them. And if they want to TO us, we wouldnt want to be aligned with them now would we?
Martin, I have been around almost as long as you have and actually stayed. I didnt want this treaty either, but I'd rather have peace so we can prosper and actually stay on the map for longer than 3 months.
YES! Seisan! PEACE IS FINE! Peace is good! BUT Brazil having control over our regions is not good! Please try to understand clearly what I am saying!
Sparkle, you've made this personal, so my discussion with you specifically is now over
Let me clear something up, I didn't intend to call you a vindictive prick, I meant to say that the country would be a collective of vindictive pricks that would be easily crushed, possibly for the last time, under what you want.
