The Word is South Africa is back! - kinda of.....
SamGibz
So I wrote the grand speech for the return of the show only to find that Xtranormal is not free anymore and that I now have to pay, something I cannot do as I am a student (with no money). I am pissed off about it and so I am not going to let my work go to waste. So below, here it is. I am sorry to say that there is only 1 image to set the scene and so I appologise. If you enjoy this, say so, and I will repeat and add more to it. Here goes.....
"And so the Word is eSouth Africa is back! Missed me? I am going to change the tone of the whole idea behind the Word is eSouth Africa from being a formal report style to one that is more relaxed. Hope that is ok with everyone. Just makes it easier to right and create. We start of by commenting on the changes admins are making. We see firstly the new land creation. If you don’t have a clue what I am on about then you are not clicking and you need to see an really good article by Damien Wolf on the subject. I personally am not liking the land thing. It just doesn’t sit right with me. It also means that people with some gold to burn can fill their entire land slots up with companies, work themselves and make quiet a bit of money. This is what I have done and this is a top tip. You don’t actually need to employ anyone anymore to make a nice amount of money. I personally pull in 60 ZAR a day from this method. While we are on this subject, does anyone know what is happening with the Organisation. Admins are getting rid of them for shore right? If someone who has their head around this could post below in the comments on this subject I would be greatful. Speaking of Admins and this lack of communication, why have admins got rid of their newspaper. I think this is a major mistake and as time goes on I find more and more reasons for them to put it back in. Comment below if you agree that admins should start the newspaper again.
I was able to witness some excitement in eSouth Africa on the I R C yesterday. For those that don’t know, Maddog, a Welsh man decided to hack Joseph Rich’s account yesterday. He then came on I R C exclaiming that Krimpie, our President, had had his account hacked and that Krimpie contacted Joseph in real life to get Congress to impeach him. This of course was not true, but Maddog using Josephs account did create an impeachment request against Krimpie. This failed. Our media has since been filled with Harvard scares as what happened before when Ronell turned traitor. Note, Ronell is welcomed once more now a days, but we do keep her at arms length. Having said that, recently people have expressed wished for her removal from eSA society for various reasons. She is currently our ambassador to eNew Zealand, a country she is part of an has citizenship in. This brings a new issue up. I am not however going to comment, I make it clear, I am just reporting what I have seen. This issue due to my past involvement I am going to steer clear of.
As I was, Many people are concerned that this signals the start a PTO, particularly as we have the PP elections tomorrow. I don’t think we have too much reason to be concerned. However we should do what we always do at Party President elections, and watch what happens to divert votes if needed. There are some reports of a possible PTO threat, but how much support exists is unlikely to be a lot.
Talking of the Party President Elections, good luck to all those who are running. I am not going to make a feature on it. That would be unoriginal and someone else can do it. I have enjoyed my time as Party President of the CEP, but I have not achieved all that I would like to have, but circumstance changes and real life is stupid.
We see the return of many older players. It is great to see them around offering their support. Krimpie has managed to drag them out from under their rocks that they had hidden themselves so well for months. I am however concerned that they may start to dominate the game once more ostracising the upcoming players. They were once senior players and it would be difficult for them to just sit back I fear. They need to be disciplined and understanding of the new situation, and that they have been out of the game for a while and things have changed.
Well that is all for the return episode. See you soon with another. Good bye and god bless where ever you are in the world. "

Voted. Good as always Sam

tl;dr
WALL OF TEXT !!!!!!!!!!!
Not sure what to make of the "Land" thing myself. Guess it would be a good time to start a company (or six).
As for the Orgs, mine are still operational. Hope the admins don't take these away from me too.
tl:dr bring back teh video
Xtranormal is still as free as it used to be.
Send me a message or poke me on irc.
There are some tricks for using some more of their content 😉
No need to fear the older folks, we're not here to take over, we're here to help. Mostly, on my and Ines's part, we're going to be low in activity.
Those who remember me will remember that I've always advocated activity, specifically from young players.
Believe me, I have no intention of letting eRep rule my life ever again.
I'm not even on IRC at the moment, just clicking away and looking to help fight and vote. But you're welcome to discipline me, Sam. Rawr!
And by the way, eSA is letting Ronell be an ambassador? Will we never learn?
Sam, if the older players want to use their vast leadership experience to make the country a better place, then let them. I don't like what I am reading from you here. Many newer players stepped up and became CP, congressman and Ministers. I hope you not worried about this supposed "elite" thing that others are always on about because you are smart enough (I have tons of respect for ya) to figure out that that has always been just a word.
Leadership will always seek a way to develop the younger players to make sure that if they do take office, then they are prepared to do what is needed. Problem is in this country that people don't step up. When I was last CP I had 4 applications for Cabinet. Can you imagine that. Leadership is forced to seek players who have the skills that would ensure the country moves forward. If other players don't stick up their hands and say "Hay, I have this great f*cking idea that will totally make eSA AWESOME, give me a chance to show you!" Then what can really happen.
I am sure, as these players activities increase, you will see them taking their "rightful" place as leaders of our nation, because from experience, no one else wants to step up.
@Ines, she was banned from the forum by congress during the Stryke Administration. It is unfortunate that players seem to have made friends with her, and no-one is re-instating the ban seeing that she is under a new name.
I personally would love to see he kicked out.
U crazy?
@Mark: I smell a campaign coming! Again! Ha ha
There is a difference between helping to lead and dominate. To dominate means they all band together and make new players feel stupid as what I experianced when I started. (Don't bother making the low joke). Not encouraging them. To lead means to get everyone involved, not just a select few.
When in the history of eSA has that ever happened?
I think you're right, Sam, in the sense that there was a really low time in eSA's history when all new players were suspected of being multies. I know I mistrusted everyone at that time and other players did as well. I feel that it has changed for the better since I left and I'm definitely going to participate in helping nurture young players until they prove me wrong.
Before your time Mark. I don't think you will do such things Ines, Kitty and others.
I have spoken to Kitty on IRC about such things and he is in agreement to what I say, that I am not against you guys coming back and helping to lead, in fact, I encourage it. But for you to dominate is wrong, as you say.
I just wanted to bring the subject up really. Was it the people coming together or just the situation. When I first joined the game it looked 100% to be the first one. Now after much experiance I see 80% for it to be the latter. You can never rid peoples opinions and connections.... But you can have 100% of the first.
Please could people withdraw from saying that I am waving the elitist banner. I am not. Just simply wanting to maintain a fair and just democracy.
I'll vote for Innes...
I agree Sam's point is valid. Although in our community i think where it has always been about eSA, i am not concerned, here we work together and there is an affinity that i am simply excited to think what the young could learn from the vets and what the vets can learn from the young.
It will also not be easy for the vets returning, game is different, they are not as strong as they were when they left, some things does not get said , like one can now be CP and be in a battle in Tibet, or work for a company half way around the world without being there. i am simply exited for any kind of boom even a veteran boom, lol
"Before your time Mark."
@Sam, I'm not picking a fight when I say this, but I have been in eSA and indeed this game longer than you, so I'm not sure what you getting at.
