The Welsh Assembly - Reformation - PART 1: Intro, Chairman, General Director

Day 595, 05:54 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by The Welsh Assembly

The Welsh Assembly should be a useful, innovative platform for eWales to promote the interests of the people by representing them in Regional and National politics. Its primary role would be that of an organisation which is geared towards democracy, efficiency and plausibility. Alongside this, it must have the dedication and perseverance to provide the people of eWales with the best quality service that can be offered, ranging from advice to practical wellness and in exceptional cases, financial assistance. Increasing activity on the regional forum is also a top priority, which is closely linked with increasing the population and interest in eWales as a whole.

To achieve this, I have hence forth set out a plan of action that could be taken.

Offices: How they are appointed and what they do.

Chairman

The Chairman is the joint-leader of the Welsh Assembly. Any person living in the eWales region only may apply to take on this role. Candidates ideally must not hold a senior position in national government; neither should they be a national government congress member (The reason for this is so that they can dedicate themselves to The Welsh Assembly with few other distractions). Candidates will be collated into a list and a vote will be held in the Welsh Regional Forums to decide who the chairman will be. This vote will take place only whenever a new chairman is needed, or when it is requested by the people and on a referendum, 66% of the voters demand an impeachment.

It is the Chairman’s duty to oversee the appointment of the General Director of The Welsh Assembly, by organising the voting procedure for said office. The chairman also has input on the appointment of the other offices. They are also the figurehead of the organisation, taking a dominating role in promoting Welsh interests in eWestminster via communication with relevant authorities such as the Home Office.

General Director

The General Director of The Welsh Assembly is the joint-leader alongside the Chairman, appointed by the people of Wales. Similarly to the Chairman, any person living in the eWales region only may apply to take on this role. Candidates ideally must not hold a senior position in national government; neither should they be a national government congress member. Candidates will be collated into a list and a vote will be held in the Welsh Regional Forums to decide who the General Director will be. This vote will take place on the 5th of every month which coincides with the election of country presidents. The Chairman may order an impeachment vote on the General Director if the need arises.

The General Director is responsible for appointing people to the other director offices in The Welsh Assembly. They also must also display strong communication skills as they will be expected to act as another figurehead of the Welsh Assembly. Any bad press will result in the credibility of the Welsh Assembly being tarnished, so a good reputation for the General Director is extremely important. They must spend time making sure every office holder is doing their job properly. If they are failing to do this, the General Director will be expected to remove them from office or take responsibility for any office which has no holder.
