The VP diaries - The Fhaemita interview

Day 1,046, 01:04 Published in South Africa South Africa by Ministry of Information eSA

Ever wanted to become vice-president, well I caught up with the current vice president Fhaemita Malodorous to ask him a few questions with regards to our beautiful country and the role he plays in it.

So can you tell the people of South Africa a little bit about yourself?

Well my name is Fhaemita Malodorous, I was e-born in the Netherlands (or -United-Netherlands back then as there was a union with Belgium) in October 2009. In November i already had enough of eUNL and moves around for a couple of weeks before landing in South Africa in December 2009. At first the idea was that this was just another stop in my journey around the eglobe. I enjoyed eSouth-Africa became a active member on the forum and stuck around and decided to stay after I was asked if I wanted citizenship by Dennis Pretorius who was then South African ambassador to the Netherlands. In my time in South Africa in pretty quickly became involved in both militairy and politics. I signed up for the eSouth-African Armed forced and became a member of the political party Independant Alternative.

What are your current roles.

Currently I have the honour to be the vice president of e-South Africa under our president Grimstone. Before that I was minister of Information for one term, deputy minister of information for two terms and deputy minister of tourism for one term. I started in Independant Alternative but a few months ago switched to New Africa Party where I served two terms as party president before it got PTO’ed at the last party president elections. Currently I am as all loyal South African citizens a member of United Democratic Alliance. I’m ambassador to eNetherlands and eBelgium and before that I was ambassador to Switzerland. I’ve also been active in the eSouth-African Armed forced in the Pretorian Guard and as executive officer of the Training division. Currently I am only a private in the Pretorian Guard.

So what does being a VP require you to do?

Main job as Vice President is helping the President in all his duties and if necessary replacing him when he his not able to do his duties for whatever reason. Being a president is a hard task and the vice president takes over some of the duties to take some burden off the work load of the president. The president and vice president talk a lot discussing what is going on, what needs to be done and advising the president on everything.

Do you think that we can regain the presidency in the coming elections?

At the moment I an writing this there is still a forum vote going on about who is going to be the person who will run as the true South African candidate. I think it will be hard for the person chosen to run to become the actual president ingame. Either way if that person wins the ingame election or not he will be president of eSouth Africa. The numbers are against us but who knows we might have something up our sleeve and pull it off.

What future aspirations do you hold?

Currently I am vice president the only way up is being President. This upcoming elections I wont be running because I don’t want to run against Grimstone. Seeing this will be his last month as president I will be running for president next month. I hope that by that time we have beaten the Hungarians occupying the country and I will have a shot to be the president not only out of the game but also in the game itself. Altought this is still more a month ago I am already thinking about some things for my presidency.

What are your opinions on which alliance eSouth Africa should stay close to or join?

We have always been a Eden minded country so it would be strange if we would become a member of Phoenix. Altough some people suggested becoming a member of Phoenix as a way to get control of our country. This would be the easiest way out as a lot of our neigbours are Phoenix countries but this is not a option in my humble opinion. Before we where PTO’ed we where very close to being admitted to the Broliance. I think the Broliance is the best option for eSouth Africa. Also we will ofcourse keep strong ties and friendship with Eden.

Do you have any advice on for aspiring politicians?

I would like to encourage people who are not active or not yet active in politics to become active in politics. South Africa can always use new people a fresh face with fresh idea’s. I hope people will get involved in politics and in the community in general instead of just two-clicking. If you are sure where to start don’t be afraid to ask, come on irc or on the forum and ask how you can get involved and you will see that there will be alot of people willing to help you get on your way.

Is there anything else you would like say?

South Africa speaks in many languages, but only one voice. The language is not Afrikaans, or Zulu, or English, or Dutch. It speaks in the language of hope; It speaks in the language of trust; It speaks in the language of strength, and the language of compassion. It is the language of the heart and the language of the soul. But always, it is the same voice. It is the voice of our ancestors, speaking through us, And the voice of our inheritors, waiting to be born. It is the small, still voice that says: We are one. No matter the blood; No matter the skin; No matter the world; No matter the star; We are one. No matter the pain; No matter the darkness; No matter the loss; No matter the fear; We are one. Here, gathered together in common cause. we agree to recognize this singular truth, and this singular rule: That we must be kind to one another, because each voice enriches us and ennobles us, and each voice lost diminishes us. We are the voice of the Africa, the soul, the fire that will light the way to a better future. We are one.
