The UK Erepublik Handbook - Chapter 1
Squiddy
I have decided to commission the creation of a handbook for all the new users of erepublik so that we may all benefit
from a more involved and more aware public.
Chapter 1 - In the beginning...
Right, so you've just made an account. What should I do now, you ask. First things first, let it be known that wellness is the most important aspect of eRepublik. You can't do anything without wellness, so make sure you keep it high!
You lazy bum, get a job!
Get a job. Then you will be able to buy food, which helps you to keep your wellness high! To find a job, simply hover over the Market button in the menu and select Job Market. There, you will be able to filter your search for jobs to find
something that's best for you.
Land, manufacturing or construction? Manufacturing is the best paid industry, but it is a very crowded industry compared to the others, in the UK, so it might be slightly harder to find a job at times.
Once you've found a job offer you can go to your company again by hovering over My Places and clicking Company. Now, it's time to start learning the daily routine of eRepublik.
AaaattenTION!
Clean your boots and polish that Q5 SA80 Assault Rifle, for war is upon us and you would do well to prepare, soldier.
Every citizen in eRepublik is a soldier. Being a soldier can be as boring or rewarding and eciting as you want it to be - it's all down to your level of comittment to the game. You start at 0 strength and gain each time you train. At first, there won't be much you can do by being a soldier, no one will want you as you're too weak - however, leave it a couple of weeks and you will be strong enough to join the United Kingdom Armed Forces. This opens up a whole new world of
opportunity for you and if you keep training for long enough, you can join the elite section of your nations army and be paid to fight for your country abroad!
Click click bang!
Now, this is the activity that most citizens partake in, and usually not much else. This is known to everyone and his dog as being a Two Clicker. One click to work and one click to train.
The truth is, almost everyone hates two clickers because they ruin certain parts of the game by getting involved in the wrong ways. Elections are a prime example of this. Lots of people vote for who they think would be good, without doing any research into the matter and when enough people do this they end up electing a complete idiot. There are many more examples but I won't go in to them just now!
Do not worry though, there are ways to make sure you don't fall in the hated "Two Clicker" category!
A whole newww woooooooooooooorld...
THE UNITED KINGDOM NATIONAL FORUMS! These forums are THE best, most active, most popular with the best content and largest user base in the entire eWorld. Why? Because we're British and people like to watch us eat crumpets. OK no seriously, it's because we're a very advanced nation that prides itself on being extremely organised.
The UK National Forums is where EVERYTHING gets done. Government debates and decisions are ALL officially made here. Political parties all officially discuss, here. The British Army officially operates, HERE, THE UK FORUMS!
If you want to ever achieve anything in eRepublik, be it becoming a Congressman, Minister of Defence/Foreign Affairs or any other Government position in the UK, starting or getting more involved in a political party then you MUST sign up to these forums otherwise your eRepublik career, what ever you should choose it to be, will fail.
I cannot stress how important these forums are to every new player. As well as being 'the place' to get anything done, it also has a wealth of invaluable material, such as awesome guides, (like this one), lists of Government Policies and who's currently running which Ministry, uk IRC and so much more. If you read all this and still don't think you need to sign up to the forums then you might as well log off and never log on again, it would be saving both you and us a lot of time and effort!
That's all for now folks.
Some of you may be thinking TL😉
R (Too Long😉
idn't read), if that's the case then I suggest you also log off and never log back on again. eRepublik is for the most part a social game and played almost exclusively over your countries national forum. Sure, you can play the game, just about, without ever signing up to the forums but if you cannot fathom the attention span to read this one article then there really isn't much point of you playing. It takes time and a lot of reading to learn how eRepublik works so please pay attention to me and anyone else who goes out of their way to help the citizens!
Do your country proud and join the forums and follow the above advice so that you can become a successful and properly contributing citizen.
Regards,
Squiddy.

y wasnt there anything like this when i was born 😉
Your almost the same age as me (eLife wise) and I remember there being a forum then... and an established community...
ukFORUMS? garish unreadable bollocks, full of useless injokes - 20 regular posters out of 1500+ registered users
Now thats not fair, we have at least 30 regular posters!
And if more people joined the forums more people would become regular posters. See the logic? 😛
Voted 🙂
Voted
Voted, twice.
>>>ukFORUMS? garish unreadable bollocks, full of useless injokes
Maybe they removed all the dead players? Lol Fartman.
its all a bit cluttered and uninvolving, the ukforums. i did read a thread about reforming the forums, has anything come of that - are there plans afoot? all the successful enations have had an influx of players from non erepublik related forums, ie sweden (flashback?), romania, italy, prob the indos, and the goons/diosts. we need to create a good erepublik forum to compete - no good always repeating how great it is - in my opinion it isnt
Q5? We should be so lucky 🙂
scot, there's no point moaning about the problems of the forums here, go on the forums and make some suggestions, surely you agree that the need for a forum is great.
However I do disagree, I think the forums are abolutely fine.
just a point i thought needed said, as its always repeated to new players how great they are - i respect your opinion, but i wont be on the ukforums much
At the end of the day your gaming experience will be less scot, good luck with: "becoming a Congressman, Minister of Defence/Foreign Affairs or any other Government position in the UK, starting or getting more involved in a political party" without the forums
great article
Nice article, vote 😉
I agree about the forum it is the hub of erepublik, but its unweildy, far too big and it doesn't seem to be moderated so there is pages and pages of out of date rubbish.
Hopefully the admins have said they are looking into it.
I say join a political party and join in their forum and ignore the rest until people get confident or have a lot of time to work it out.
