Join the new world

I have decided to run for Party president of the AGW to help address and solve some of the core issues the AGW currently faces. Our party has seen mild success in the past, but we have failed time and time again to produce significant results in terms of elections and keeping a large active member base.
If elected Party President, I would focus on 2 key areas, and continue to rebuild from there. The areas I will focus on of elected are Improving our member base, and producing larger turnouts and more candidates for elections. These issues plague our party and are preventing us from success and becoming a major player in South African politics.

Improving our member base


In Erepublik, there is a formula that really works to help attract members that I would like to bring to the AGW. I call this formula the three A’s: Ads + Articles = Awareness. It has proven over and over again to be a very simple but extremely efficient way of using in game modules to attract members. We not only need to attract newborn South Africans, but we also need people who have experience in Erepublik modules which will greatly help our party.
I can complain all day, but we need solutions. While my main idea will be the three A’s we also need other ideas as well as motivation to fuel these goals. I plan to create a recruitment panel which will be in charge of producing ads as well as developing informative messages for newborn citizens. For example, one of these messages might explain how to properly train and work, or it might inform them of our forum and IRC, or how to get more involved.
This recruitment panel will also be writing articles, which will be approved by the community before being published in our party newspaper. These articles will be weekly informative articles about our party, and our views on current situations, written similarly to the eSAAF orders and geared towards older members. They will be somewhat of a weekly party address, and will cover major issues facing the party and our country.

Improving elections


Elections continue to be a major problem for our party. It usually involves the same group of people running for congressional elections and we usually keep a small group of congresspersons. This has to change. My plan to increase candidates will be to be more open and public about allowing potential candidates to run. I will do this by using gold from our party reserves to create ads explaining how party members can get more involved in the elections. This will be a short blurb asking all members to consider candidacy, and a link to an article explaining the details of it like how to create a platform, ads, and articles to get themselves voted in.
My goal for next term will be to put at least eight candidates forward for congressional elections, as well as put forward a Country President candidate. To put forward a country president candidate, I will have all interested write a full platform explaining why they wish to run and their goals for Country president. A small panel will judge the platforms and pick the person we think is the most able.
