I am still alive

Haven’t posted an article for quite some time so I thought I better post one before the establishment chalk me down as another new player who got fed up and left. I have been flitting in to the game on and off but only to do the basic i.e. increase strength, maybe read the odd article and try to remember to vote when needs be but not really engaging in the game. There are a number of reasons for this some RL and others game related but the RL reasons are the main reason for me not being active at the moment.

Real life...It's always something

Currently my free time is preoccupied elsewhere, mainly going through the Edinburgh Fringe book which has over 3000 shows trying to pick what to see in August. So my two favourite websites at the moment are Google and YouTube. Plus I am receiving recommendations from acts and fellow Fringe goers which I need to check out. So busy, busy & yet more busy on that aspect.

Also I am currently in temporary employment but the position has now been posted so I am currently racking my brain and trying to put a strong application, not leaving anything to chance on that one. We all need money, right?

Coupled with the mini-dramas that life likes to throw at us not really had much time and probably won’t have the time for the foreseeable future.


Game related

The Argies wiping us of course is a tad bit demoralising and did make me question logging on to the game but it in reality it was the excuse necessary for me to focus my attention elsewhere for a bit.

Honestly the only thing that I can say is having a negative effect on me being active in the game is the King William saga as it has now simply bored me to death. It has rumbled on for too long now and frankly at times neither side has come off in a good light, well I don’t think that King William has ever come off in a good light.

So while I actually have the time to write an article just a couple of points I feel I should make. For those against King William bide your time not everything that comes to light is the new smoking gun and shouting from the rooftops about new information and calling for him to be suspended ain’t gonna work. In fact it could have the reverse affect as it would appear to new players as nothing more than a witch-hunt. So take your time and collate your evidence.

Now this one I am probably going to get a torrent of abuse. I have heard and seen a lot of about King William, namely he is always clever and cunning in his schemes. Bad news people and take this from a poker player, he is very two dimensional when it comes to his actions. What do I mean by that, well simply on the poker table you have to understand what is going on in your opponents’ mind and simply put some people are easier to read. Sadly for King William he is one of those people I would gladly have at the poker table because I know I’m going home with his money at the end of the night. Plain and simple ignore the verbal diarrhoea and focus what his endgame is and the roadmap becomes abundantly clear. In fact his actions and “alleged” actions have never really surprised me that much and it is only his extreme nature of his soundbites that shock me.
