The Significance of Politics

I have been playing this game for nearly 10 years. I recall seeing an advertise in a local web newspaper saying that eRepublik offers a new, second life for the players. You can do whatever you want, become a business man, a soldier or a politician. That’s what caught my attention. I was minutes away from signing in.

My first question on the Friends feeds, we didn’t have the Country, Party or Military Unit feeds, was: “How can I be a party member?” . That was my goal. To become a party member, a congressman, to form policies and vote for laws.

When I accomplished the requirments of joining a party, I did it. I had already found a party that suited me, I did my research and joined them. This was the first day that I enjoyed this game. And from then, until now, I am a member of a Political Party. I have changed 3 citizenships, and I always was a member of a party!

Ever since, we are waiting for the admins to make the big change in the political module. They had announced it, a big, surprising change that will shock us, but still nothing. You have every right to be mad with them, but if you ask me, you can still play and become a politician in a descent way.

Every time a new player asks me what to do in this game, I urge them to make a lot of friends, ask so many questions and of course join a political party. Because in there, he will find the help he needs, a sort of a family, friends he will be a valuable member of our community. How? By becoming the wheel that makes our community to grow, to make decisions, to vote for laws and make our eNation a better place. For them, and for all of us.

And now, the day of the Congress elections, I urge you to vote. To vote for the party that you believe is making an efford. Note that, I do NOT urge you to vote for MY party, but YOUR party, the party that suits you, the party that has the decency you want and you have in your in-game life. And if you want, join them, become a member of the family, talk to them, try to do the best for your eNation. You’ll see that this game aspect, has something to offer.
