The Second Paragraph: Early days of eEstonia
Grand Old Man
As I wrote in my last article, I have been around for a lot longer than many of you might be aware of. To be fair, I have not been active for a while which is the main reason I cannot remember my login credentials. But having a new start seems kind of appropriate.
Many of you might be thinking that eEstonia's history started on April the 8th 2009 when eEstonia was added to eRepublik. While it is strictly true it leaves a whole year of struggles to get on the map untold. Estonians and those wanting eEstonia on the map travelled around The New World spreading word and wishes to have our own country. I am really happy to see S33vald, who was the ringleader back then still in the game and active in the forums as well. You might not know me but I sure know the great things you have done for this eNation.
Declaration of Independence was written and communicated to the admins of eRepublik. In April our dreams came true, eEstonia was on the map of The New World. But the struggles did not stop there. As a young and emerging country we were prone to outside PTO-s (political take over) and sure enough a PTO attempt was made. We had to work together in order to fight the PTO. This is when eEstonias first party, VIE (full name Free Independent Estonia), was founded. It brought together all eEstonians working for one goal and one goal only, a free and independent eEstonia. Thanks to the cooperation and hard work of our leaders and allies it came to reality - an eNation was born.
That's all for today, see you all next time.
Sincerely yours,
Grand Old Man

Good reading.
SgtMaj sina?
Kes oled? Maatriks vä?
Maatriks ei kirjutaks nii "peent" kirja, pigem SirTonis 😛
No estonian või holden ikka ei ole jah.
Väga hästi kirjutatud kirjatükk. Avaldan kiitust autorile.
I have a pity on you, while carrying such a dead weight from the past it is no wonder conflicts are easy to come. The way forward is to leave aside personal feelings and think about your homeland first in every situation. I will open this topic up in more detail in one of the following articles.
Thank you Erksos and OliverMasin for your kind words.
Täieliku klouniga on meil siin tegemist, praegu on e-Eesti poliitikas täiesti uneaeg võrreldes vanu aegu, kui poliitilised võitlused olid ikka väga räpased.
You are correct, political warfare used to be far greater than it is today. This does not mean current state of politics is okay during the times when most of eEstonia is under foreign occupation. We shall be united once again.
vote
"we shall be united"
too late active citizens 485 lol
how many daily players less than 100
"feelings behind ... homeland first"
No success so far most of those guys who had "feelings" left the game : D
we are out numbered homeland is first always but still we(ecountry) need money
The WILL is good but fighting with bare hands does not sound intresting ...
endless war with finland and low moral does the work we don't see the progress that's why we are leaving ...
in estonia we have 13th commandment that is "You shall not forget the past"

Heh,
In the old days there were grand campaigns, articles and discussion forums before CP, Congress and even PP elections. This was especially noticeable after Sir Tonis and ELE (I believe it was ELE, correct me if I am wrong) began to make controversial election campaigns. More about this coming up in my next articles for those who are interested.
