The Sanctuary; PTO = Free-will rape

Leave weapons and bad language,
This is The Sanctuary

Pay attention on how many votes does it take to reach top5 article in your country.
~If that number is around 50 your country is most probably already under PTO-attack.
~If the number is between 50 and 100 your country is in threat from PTO, which means: there is quite a possibility one of political parties is owned by foreigners.
~If the number is above 100 you are in moderate danger from PTO. PTOers are there, but they are keeping the low profile.

~Don't say: How did it happen to us?!

No country is safe from PTO attempts. We are witnessing situation when eUSA most prominent citizens gather all their political potential and influence so that no party may fall in hands of foreigners. Paranoia is also present in eSerbia, where all major parties still fear of eCroatian infiltration. What is this? Even the most populated and strongest nations fear PTO! Heck, that can give you creeps, especially if you are in some small and neutral country.

What is a PTO?
Let us see what eWiki says:
Political Takeover (coup) - When a highly organized group from a densely populated Country moves into a separate country and gains political power of said country by out numbering other citizens in an election.

Who commits PTO?
Well, PTO is highly organised act of foreign coup d'état, when strangers come and hijack government tools (Congress, Presidents chair, National Bank,...).
He who can be organised, can commit PTO.
Yes, eWorld's superpowers are the most famous PTO-ers (eRomania, eRussia, eSerbia, ePoland,...), but PTO can be organised by some independent groups, such as Teocrats, for example (in the further text, I'll focus on state organised PTO).

It is crucial to understand who are the soldiers of PTO. Who, in the name of some government commits such an act.
During my research (which lasted for a couple of months by now), I found out that there is certain hierarchy within PTO group. From soldiers who only vote when the time comes, to the brains of operations, there are several levels of PTOers.
~Soldiers are almost always highly trusted fighters, regular soldiers, militiamen and paramilitary members. They are easy to command, they obey, they are indoctrinated.
~Brains of operation are, almost always senior members of regular armies of nations involved in PTO. I said senior members of regular armies, not presidents or ministers. Ask why?
Well, presidents are changeable, governments are changeable, but general-staff, in all countries, remains the same for months. The armies are the pillars of superpowers (eUSA, eHUN, eSER, eROM, ePOL) not the politicians! I'll write something about this in some other article, this is already getting too long.

~There are many PTO teams across the eWorld. Did you know that they all work together?

So, when you name them all, it seems it can hit you from any side of the World. Well, that is correct. They can work separate in the same time, sometimes they help each other, sometimes they wait one PTO attempt to fail, or end of other PTO rule, so that they may engage. Their only goal is your country in their hands. They are very, very patient! When they hit, they hit hard...

The Way!

The mechanisms of PTO are various. It differs from case to case, but there is a pattern that is always visible in PTO attempts, those that failed and those which passed. I'll give you a small schematic. Hope it's easy to understan😛

Explanation:
~multies/drones/bots/familly/brothers and sisters - speculation, I'm not accusing, just proposing mechanism of PTO actions
~Government participation – speculation, although many heads of different governments publicly supported PTO teams through newspapers it cannot be confirmed that they entirely financed actions; surely large portions of gold are collected from donations of rich PTO members (some of them asked refundation from ministers of X country...) it's almost unimaginable that country which works on TO of smaller country does not spare some gold for backing the actions of PTO HQ.

aPTO and its complications!
When citizens notice some of actions of TO teams, they alert their government which will react in tree ways:
1. Try to negotiate with PTOers or their government
2. Ask for assistance from some other allied nation which will provide voters, conquer some of its territories so that victim-nation can concentrate votes, or in the worst scenario, erase nation from the map, and so prevent TO before elections.

aPTO complications:
Neutral countries are the most vulnerable to TO attacks, so if one major alliance tries PTO it will provoke nation exit from neutrality and approaching to other major alliance. This is necessary, but opposed to the will of population.
Voters sent by yours once friendly nation can soon become threat greater than initial PTO – a sword with two blades (said some wise man long ago).

What if PTO comes out to be successful?

There are three consequences:
Economic aspect:
~Ptoers are going to exploit national resources. (PTO of ePeru and eUkraine)
~They can raise taxes, which will pump more money in national treasury - their hands. (eSouth Korea, eSerbia, eCzech Republic,...)
~They can take all the money from your National Bank. (in eItaly, ePakistan, eCroatia, eSerbia...)

Military aspect:
~New government will declare the war on neighbouring country that is in alliance opposed to their native e-country. They can use victim-nation to attack and block its neighbours. (eDanmark)
~They will provide free TW (eNorth Korea)
~They can declare war and retreat from battles so that their native country may receive new territories. (eSerbia)
~They can do the same, war+retreat, but in purpose to use countries territories for region swapping and reaching other nation's borders.

Social aspect:
~Succesful PTO will, almost always provoke mass migration of citizens, which now destroys once compact community.
~High percentage of newborn which will die when they see that their countries are not in the hands of someone who cares for them. They will not receive proper information from government, they will perish soon without guide and instructions.
~Sometimes this can provoke and induce hate which will then mark relationship between players of different countries. I don't have to mention that we are witnessing crush of different RL cultures and mentalities on eRepublik and it's easy to spark a nationalistic fire since there is always a bunch of trolls ready to ruin someones e-life.

Conclusion:
When all these informations are gathered on one spot (not saying that no one did this before me), we can see that every single act of PTO is, simply said, rape of free-mind.

We can look at it from this angle:
Community of players from certain country grouped and decided that they will make their own e-history, that they will be independent in making decisions and acts which their refers to their e-country. They will decide their tax rates, they will make their own politics, they will participate in eWorld scene as they think is the best for them. They build their community, they developed it and are working on improving it. And they are happy.
And then, some people, who, in most cases, don't even speak their language, comes and tries to destroy everything they were building sometimes for months, sometimes for years.

~Is it really worth when you drive other players away?

We all have the same rights in this game.
Always evaluate your actions. This will help us keep the players in game, this will make game more enjoyable, because this is multiplayer game and every citizen is important.

Ending thoughts:
I hope that, after you finished reading all this, I forced you to observe PTO from some other perspective.

It is crucial that we understand this:
It is hypocritical to criticize player who attempts to PTO country which you consider your allies and, in the same time, support PTO of enemy state.

Although I consider every PTO is something that is not good and really benefits no one, I have to admit that I admire players who have patience, time and such level of commitment, to participate in an action which will benefit their communities (e-countries).

At the end, I'll just write this:
Your e-nation can prosper in many ways which does not involve destroying the other.
Play the game, and let others play as they like.
