The rundown in MDP

To begin, I'm not saying that this happens on a regular basis because I have no proof of that. What I am saying is that just like it happened to me, it can happen to any other member of MDP.
I missed the last month's congressional elections by 2 seats. Sad for me. Since then, there was no mention of an IRC channel or party forum on the feed or on the party's page.
2 days ago I was #1 on the congress list (I applied the minute the lists opened up).
Today I log in to see that I was removed. So I start asking questions and so far only Rylde came up with a possible explanation (even though he is not the party president, he definitely has something to say when it comes to MDP).
Here's his explanation:
So this is was indeed an eye opener for me. That's not how a community works, in my book, whether it be party, MU or what not. You're supposed to communicate. It does say "military dictatorship" but really?

Apparently if the region you run for gets conquered you get removed from the list as well. However, Rylde was kind enough to enlighten me with regards to his views.

Do you even remember why I left MDP a while back? And what got me to come back? YOU asked me to come back because YOU/YOUR party needed votes and support. Don't take me for a 2 year-old. You go around asking for people's help when you need it, and after you don't need it anymore, you just don't give a damn.
All the good things I do? What are all the good things that every other player on that list does before actually making it to congress lol? Without a congress seat I have no say in what goes on with canada's politics. I'm not running or setting orders for an MU so there goes the military aspect, what more do you want? if "good deeds" is going on the irc chatting with you guys....please. For your age, I would have expected a little bit more wisdom. Apparently I was wrong.

I didn't accuse you to begin with, what's so hard to comprehend. Apparently Rylde is MDP's spokesperson. You could have just told me that it was the game mechanics, I would've deleted the article and shouts and all would have been good. But no, Rylde threatens me with not buying my weapons (but claiming that he buys weps off the canadian market to help collect taxes so not buying my weps on purpose contradics the whole point) and you call me an idiot in PM. Very nice.
Pazvante, I think this may all be an innocent mistake. If your citizen is sitting in a region that is then conquered by Spain while they are still there, the game automatically drops your Congress listing
That's the thing. LoP/Rylde could have just said that to begin with and I would've dropped the whole thing.
And anyway, did you really think you would get #1 slot because you clicked first?
Bottom line, even though this was caused by an ingame mechanic, MDP does whatever the Dictator wants. As they said above, this isn't a democracy. We have allowed Leo/Light of Palaero to head us, and we are to follow him without question.
You made this choice in joining the party. We have more commuxnity then most, and that can be found in group pms or IRC. Group pms are selective, based on trust and IRC activity.

If there was a party that said no one in the party could ever say anything,it would still be a community.

For a prophet you sure know how to contradict yourself. Oops, not the first example in your "community". You have allowed him to rule you (so you decided) and then you will follow him without question (so you will stop deciding and he can do whatever he pleases).

There is no contradiction.
A Dictator was chosen by the previous Dictator. I agreed with this decision, so I followed the order and voted him in. By doing this, I accepted him as my Dictator. When he became elected, final say in any political decision belongs to him.
This isn't some new, foreign concept to you. It has happened throughout our RL history.

MDP: Here's our community, accept it. If you want to change it, then get involved, contact the leadership, get your hands dirty; if not, you know where the door is. MDP has a hierarchy built on work and trust, you can say the same about getting a job promotion.
