The ruling of NI by the UK

Day 1,300, 15:23 Published in Ireland Ireland by loyen

One big issue facing Ireland today is the U.K control of Northern Ireland (NI).
The founder(s) of the republic of Ireland wanted to have the all island under their control, and most Irish want the same, but the U.K have the want (need??) of power, and had no other ideas than taking over Ireland.
This need for power had a big impact on the social life of eIreland, has most of the people fought instead of focussing more into the economic/political/social part of the website.
War was the main solution taken by the government, but it had ceased early: (quote from the chronicle of change, by chance harrisson,)

“Soldiers, citizens, and people of eIreland, I Chance Harrison have bitter news to give and perhaps welcome news to some. As your MoD for over a month now and into my second term I have done my best to do my sworn duty to help us compete on the battlefield and defend our land against our rival and sworn enemy the eUK and rid us of their tyranny. Many battles were won and lost and many a man lost sleep and wealth. Our goal of a whole, free and "united" Ireland is and will always be our ultimate goal.

Today (Day 1,300) our Country President has decided to accept a proposal by the eUK which affords an end to our long conflict. Just over five hours ago, an emergency meeting was held with the military leaders/representatives of the IA, Havoc, Labour's Army, Libertad and Libertad (IRE) to get their blessing before acceptance.

The terms are for eIreland to cede possession of Shannon, Ireland for a brief term and that eUK would sign a peace treaty with eIreland bringing an end to our current stalemate. All members of the Dail were not present henceforth a vote was not cast. I can say I will back the CP in his decision and will not look for impeachment since the Dail was not appropriately consulted as he was doing what was in the best interest of our eNation.”

This declaration is just ridiculous, I personally prefer peace than war, but there is no choice, we have to FIGHT against UK and get NI back into the republic. Giving Shannon and not fighting back, is that an Irish idea? Irish are courageous (rebel) type of people, which stand up for their ideas, (remember Ireland being one of the only country to say no to Lisbon, and waiting weeks before accepting the money from europe after the European economic crisis(real life, not erepublik)).

I think we should fight for NI and get the English out of the island. Most of the citizens think so, (quote from Bhane): “If the UK is not willing to cede NI, or recall the Brit PTO'rs to Brit citizenship... then they don't want peace!”.

As the candidate to the IUP presidency election, if I become president of the IUP, will try everything to sort that issue out, by every means possible (by peaceful or non peaceful means).
