ITEM 1: Although Spem Reduxit is not a partisan organ, facts are facts, and the above chart, which shows percentage of active voters in each of the top 6 parties, demonstrates the sudden and dramatic rise of the DAL, which appears to coincide with a decline in the fortunes of the PPC, which has now been squeezed out of the all-important Top 5.

No doubt many theories will be advanced for the DAL's rise, and time will tell whether they shall sustain this momentum, but they have made themselves the party to watch in the coming congressional elections.

Spem Reduxit would theorize two reasons for the rise of the DAL. 1. Active recruitment. 2. Expressed Interest in new ecitizens, the so-called baby boomers. There are lessons there for all parties.

ITEM 2: Spem Reduxit continues to warn its readership to convert their $C holdings to gold, and that right quick. The new administration has a demonstrated policy to have the $C devalued, albeit in a controlled manner. The profits from such conversion may not be large, but compared with the certainty of loss if you don't convert, it's a no-brainer.

ITEM 3: As a follow-up to yesterday's edition, some kind soul obviously saw fit to donate food to Rikki Justice, whose wellness rose from 0 yesterday to 3 today. Although we are tempted to run a 'Rikki Justice Feeding Tube" Program as a lark, given that she has shown no activity for an apparent three months now, it is most likely a waste of resources. We invite readers to re-read yesterdays' edition: the point is not to save Rikki, but to change the underlying conditions that led to her inactivity.
