The Repentant Ex-President

Day 418, 10:02 Published in Japan Japan by Yamato Suzuki

I resigned my candidacy for the party president election.
Hitoshi Makoto is doing a good job with the UBN, and I wouldn't really fit to be a leader at this time.

Since I founded the party, I was thinking of seeking the party members' approval of doing a dramatic change, firstly by re-naming the party.
I wanted to re-name it since no Japanese person actually practices Bushido today, and clinging to it might look silly.
I know the party's name isn't as directly associated to Bushido as it used to be, but it's still how I perceive it.
The names I were thinking of possibly using were "The Restoration Party", named after the Meiji Restoration, or "The Democratic Party of Japan" based on my favourite real-life Japanese party, and since the current eParties lack a party with a "normal" name;

Although invading Korea helped Japan and Korea at the time, I'm still a bit remorseful about the war since we have today lost companies, security and gold to the rebellions.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do now, but I'm thinking of helping the Chinese in their struggle for independence. After that I wish to join Korea in forming a stable nation that can peacefully regain its regions. I won't be fighting in any rebellions against Japan.
