(We all like having fantasies of killing our real life enemies don't we xD)
In erepublik it is a rule that real life should not be brought into the game and I remember the justification of it was that this is a game etc...
BUT at the same time Erepublik appears to promote real life hatred through its promotion of a natural enemy and with the playing of border tensions...
MY GOD IS BETTER THAN YOUR GOD! Lets Fight On Erepublik!
Why is it that the Balkans for instance are the most populated regions in Erepublik? Because the region is historically painted in blood and many hate each one another and fantasies of restoring old real life empires or creating the empires they wish they had... It's nice to play with our fantasies but surely there is hypocracy in banning real life unless it helps generate more wars within the game?
War with real life enemies on the basis of spending Gold on a chart by which sides choose two bi-polar powers dominates the day hence making Erepublik as I have side a million times in the past a bastion of Nationalism whereby hatred and rivalry from real life appears to be encouraged through a collection of pixels coordinated in a certain manner.
And then we have the Political idealists such as the Communists in the game who in real life fanatases having a revolution and bringing equality against the clutches of Plutocracy and Capitalism (they view Nationalism with the exception of liberal Nationalism as the protectors of these oppressive regiemes) thus freeing the workers from some form of exploitation, inequality and slavery. All sounds great in real life but as it is almost impossible to perform in real life they too like the nationalists import their ideas in the game generating further conflicts, further gold spending and a smile on the admins faces whos in game laws are almost as contreversial as that of the Old Testament.
The point is, most people who play this game play on the basis of real life interest which cannot be done in real life due to resources and the very complex nature of real life geopolitics which revolve around Supra-nationalist tendencies of the USA, China, Russia and the EU.
One plays to create his fantasy Empire or punish real life rivals...
Hail The eEmperor who made us great!
The other plays to liberate the workers from the wealthy and powerful who repress them...
Hail the eComrade who 'liberated' us from the eEmperor and made us Great!
I mean why else do people play? Because the graphics of erepublik are Amazing or because of the advanced in game structure? The only thing I admire of erepublik is the limited Politics module and the newspapers and even that cannot compare to real life...
I used to play this game because I too was a Nationalist but now I do not feel a superiority complex over others(which doesnt mean that I do not have love for my ancestral homeland both in game and in real life). I believe in humanism that while we complain in game about our neighbors cheating in a virtual pixel game or while we complain about economic crisis in real life, there are those who work like slaves who produce for us in the miraculous complex known as Capitalism which they Americans in real life have brainwashed us to believe is freedom just for their own interests.
Hence Erepublik is merely a distraction to things that are of far greater importance. And no this does not mean I am a Communist for they are worse than Capitalist as they exploit the suffering of the people just for their own seizure of power... this is obvious in game as they have virtually no cause or means of adding their ideology in the game.
I believe in my own ideology which is free of religion, which is free of inequalities and stupidities and people are not distracted by the things designed to entertain. Conservatives/Nationalists may call me an 'idealist', Communist may call me a revisionist or a utopianist (even though they ideas are impossible) but I view myself merely someone who has faith in Humanity to be more than it is: A rampaging mass of idiocies ruled by the elite who exploit their divisions and beliefs as a means of distracting them and maintaining order in their supranationalist empires.
Hence my Call is this: Play Erepublik with Moderation and have fun fulfulling your crazed fantasies of conquest, glory and revolution but be warned to look at life outside of the Computer screen and so how many problems they are in your country or in your world and see yourself how you can fight and stop them as opposed to feeding the ways who give you the illusion of fulfilling your ideological fantasies.
To that I would like to add that today is a special day for our Neighbours in the North xD.

The day in which they celebrate a failed Bulgarian uprising in 1903 attempting to create a Bulgarian state in Macedonia (llinden Uprising) and the first Communist Assembly of ASNOM in 1944 made by Tito, which was the organization which differentiated parts of their culture and language from Bulgaria. Today is also the day in which eGreece started destroying their fantasy of an empire in a Game

As for me... I dont really have any interest in playing much even though my exams are over. I might write an article here and there about things realted to the geo-political structure of erepublik...

after all this time i do not really care much when we get conquered although i want my country to prosper but it doesnt affect me iRL-it's just a game.. the thing is that rl hatred is brought here by players on comments and press and when it happens i do react and comment back! the other thing is that some stuff are 'flaming' but the admins do not penalize them and with that way the continue the hatred! other times the moderators penalize stuff that shouldnt be penalized..it's an unfair e-worl😛)

people want to flame! that is e-nature.. the problem is that some do not know how to do it smartly and therefore bring here rl matters.. a recent examply of a great flaming but totaly in game was smee's article posted on fyrom 'Macedonia is greek(meaning that we took it back) and we are africans(meaning that fyrom's capital is in africa).. totaly in game, really smart and extra flaming😃

Giorgos that not what I said at all, I said erepublik are hypocrites for banning the use of real life and that everyone brings in real life one way or another and that there is no point banning considering the game is based on real life. You should try read more article more clearly.. Also the middle paragraph of the article simply shares my views...
