THE PLAN THAT WILL SAVE US ALL!

New Hampshire Congressional Update – Day 627

Few read these Congressional updates, and even less do so on a weekend. Seriously, I could post "THE PLAN THAT WILL SAVE US ALL!" and it'd get less votes than an Indonesian teenager's story dedicated to the joys of swatting flies. I'm more than OK with that, of course. If I wanted to up my subscriber numbers I'd do something shameless like give this article a sensationalized title like "THE PLAN THAT WILL SAVE US ALL!" People who do stuff like that, however, are complete tools.

That said, onto the people's business…

Two routine transfers of funds were proposed; New Hampshire voted YES to both.

New Hampshire missed its first vote of the term and thus ABSTAINED in a proposal to lower taxes on weapons (VAT, Income and Import) across the board. This was the final proposal of Senator Woxan (DC,) who has moved on to serve under President Emerick at the State Department.

In a proposed peace treaty with Italy, New Hampshire voted YES mostly because we have this thing for Italians. New Hampshire also voted YES for a MPP with Greece because we once were members of a fraternity. New Hampshire also voted YES on a MPP with the Czech Republic

Senator James Harding's (HI) final action in Congress was a proposed decrease in import taxes on weapons, from 5% to 1%. At this time Congress seems split on this idea, but New Hampshire voted YES. Wartime is no time to be overly concerned with protecting domestic production of weapons. For the record, Senator Harding gave up his seat to fight in Spain against the hated French.

Well, that's it. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to put the finishing touches on THE PLAN THAT WILL SAVE US ALL!
