The NZ Update #2

Day 1,309, 16:14 Published in New Zealand New Zealand by Oboacer

Hello eKiwis,
I realize that it has been some time since my last "NZ Update" and I want to apologize for that. A lot has happened to me in RL recently and that has forced to me take a break from the game for a period. Therefore this has delayed my release of this edition.

However, I would like to thank my Deputy, Ivan Blair for the amazing work that he has done in my absence. He truly stepped up to the plate and proved that it was the right choice to appoint him deputy. Again, thank you Ivan.

So without delay, here is the next edition of the "NZ Update"

As many of you know, our government is currently working to implement the most far reaching reform of the "NZDF" since our nations founding in October, 2010. These reforms have led to a major change in the structure of the NZDF.

Under the new structure as proposed by our President CC and our former CP Don KronoX, the NZDF is to be divided into two forces;

New Zealand Special Forces
-Will consist of the top 50 eNZ fighters as ranked by strength and experience
-Will be led by our former CP and general bad-ass Don KronoX

New Zealand Defense Forces
-Will consist of the remaining citizens who do not quiet qualify for the top 50.
-Will be led by our current President and dedicated Kiwi Crusadercarl

I would urge citizens to please join these military units, and work towards making eNZ one of the best fighting forces in the world.

So party presidential elections were held on June 15th in eNZ and a host of new and old leaders were chosen by their members to led them over the coming month. The list includes;

Peace 'n' Prosperity Party- rootbeer123
Ujedinjenje ili smrt- Koska De STRAH
Red Label Party- loader
Ranginui- Jockaye
Taranaki Tribe- naxhi24
Aotearoa- Dadan
Red Squad- zoomenager

On behalf of the eNZ government, I want to wish all of the new party leaders the best of luck during their coming terms. I know that each of them will work towards creating a stronger and secure eNZ.

Our nation has also been busy signing Protection pacts with various international allies around the globe. Below is a run down of the various MPP's recently passed by the eNZ Congress.

Protection Pacts
-Turkey (passed 34 to 0)
-Sweden (passed 34 to 0)
-Indonesia (30 to 3)

As we can see this complements our current crop of MPP's that include, Serbia, Spain, Iran and Poland to name a few. The addition of Turkey is another sign of increasing popularity and respect our nation is holding in the world.

Our government remains committed to ensuring that a stable and prosperous economy is at the heart of eNZ. We all the know this has been tough with the recent changes but know that your government is working to make sure the impact is not so severe.

Some of the moves made by our government to address these finances include;
-Moving 500 Gold from the "Country Accounts" to the "Central Bank"
and
-Moving 160 Gold from the "Country Accounts" to the "Central Bank"

We will continue to monitor the market and the price range. Remember that action will be taken if the prices are viewed as unstable but that decision will likely be left to the new Congress elected on June 25.

The training war with eChile is also wrapping up and moving through its final stages. There have been some hiccups along the way but it looks like our forces have managed to make this TW work.

I'm pleased to report that our eNZ soldiers took the region of "Zona Austral" in the first stages and as recently as today eChile took our region of "Auckland". This is a great sign of the changing relationship we have, especially considering the recent wars of our past.

Please know that our government would encourage all eKiwis in Auckland to please move to any of the other four eNZ regions. If you have travel issues please contact a Minister and we will work to get you back into eNZ territory.

I would like to again take this time to encourage our members to join the eNZ online forum and to chat with over citizens on our IRC links. These are great ways to meet your fellow eKiwis and aid in our nations growth.

I also wanted to take this final moment to thank all of my friends in eNZ for the kind words of support they have shown to me over the past few days. I suffered a personal loss in RL recently and took time off from the game.

It is a credit to the great people I have meet in eNZ who offered such caring words and stepped up to take over any duties I may have held in government and party during this time. I especially would like to thank Crusadercarl for being so understanding as to why I went AWOL and to Mortalbeta for being a kind friend and keeping me abreast of all in-game situations.

On a final note, I'm running for re-election to Congress in Canterbury on behalf of the Peace 'n' Prosperity Party. I would like to ask for the support of the eNZ citizens of Canterbury.

This is my second term in Congress and it is with great pride that I secured the passage of a 1% VAT reduction on food. I will continue to fight for the people of Canterbury in Congress and work with our government to ensure it has full support for its plans.

So on June 25, maybe...possibly...please VOTE OBOACER in Canterbury.

Well that is all for now, thanks again for reading and please make sure on June 25 to vote for your local Congressional candidates.

It is great to be writing again and expect another article soon!

Sincerely,
Oboacer,
Minister of Information,
Congressman for Canterbury,
PnPP Secretary
