For those of you who don't know, I am Onishi, former Deputy to the Secretary of State in the US. With the election of Haliman as our President, I have been assigned as the Secretary of State. My responsibilities this term mostly centre on the Ambassador Program, which I am hoping to rejuvenate greatly.



I am introducing eliwood_sain as my Deputy. He's more than capable of this job, and will be helping me with paperwork as well as kicking my ass when I get lazy.

In other State Department news, the State Department has been split into two. Previously it covered both Ambassadors and Foreign Affairs, but now the State Department is solely concerned with Ambassadors, and the Foreign Affairs Department is entirely separate, under the watchful eye of St Krems.

The State Department IRC Room is #usa-state . Ambassadors both to and from the US will be hanging out in there as well as most of our Foreign Affairs people, so it's your first place to go if you need any of them.

Now, onto business. I am looking to recruit some ambassadors, so don't be surprised if I approach you on IRC or on the Forums asking you to be an ambassador to a foreign land.

What we are looking for...

 - Previous Diplomatic Experience
 - Ability to write and translate the language of your assigned country at a high level.
 - Activity of at least a couple hours a day. *
 - Have shown yourself to be good with people. *
