The New Irish Lottery

Day 1,415, 14:12 Published in Ireland Ireland by The Irish Community

Happy Election Day. If you have not already voted be sure to go do so. Your voice is important and counts as much as anyone else. Remember if you don’t vote then you should not complain later.

Speaking of elections.....

Depending on how this election turns out this could be my last day as Minister of Community. I have been asked by some of the candidates to remain but not all so we shall see. Anyway if this is my last day I have had a great time as your Minister. Some ideas worked well and some not so well but I had fun and I hope you all did too.

So as possibly my last act as Minister I am announcing the latest round of the Irish Lottery. As I have said on the forum I am trying something different. The lottery is the same but how you enter is not.

Rules:
- Pick a number from 1-59.
- The winning number will be the first ball drawn in the Maine Powerball draw on Saturday, October 8th, 2011
- 5 IEP per ticket
- You can buy up to 5 tickets
- If you are level 20 or lower, then your first ticket is free. YES FREE!
- To enter your numbers you must fill out the form on the National Forum. It can be found here.
- You must donate the ticket fee to Anthony Colby before the draw is made on Saturday night
- If I am no longer the MoC then all money will be transferred to the new MoC.

Extended Rules:
- If no winner after the first ball, we proceed to the second ball and so on
- If there are no winners after all balls are drawn, the pot will roll-over to next week
- If there is more than one winner the pot will be split evenly.
- There is a guaranteed prize of 1,000 IEP thanks to donations from great friends of the Irish Community.
- If you don’t fill out the form it will be assumed the money is a no strings donation to the Irish Community
- No orgs can participate

So basically this is to see the effectiveness of the new system. I hope once things are going smoothly to have a drawing every Wednesday and Saturday. The link to the form will be posted on the forum and you can enter anytime and for any drawing of the lottery. Enter for the month all at once or wait for each drawing. It is up to you.
Also the link to the Maine Powerball where the winning numbers are to be drawn will be posted so you can check after each drawing to see if you won. You don’t have to wait for an article to see the results.

Hopefully this new system will be efficient and effective. There will be some getting used to it but in time it should be easier.

Thanks.
Anthony Colby
