The new AD system!

I read earlier today about the new ad system coming into a future version, and I must say at first I thought it would be a great idea!

The whole plan of being able to advertise your company’s products or your place in congress or even as president to the whole of eRepublik could be great!

However, after giving it some thought, I have to say, there are some bad points to it.

For one, some people will just use these ads to spam useless stuff onto everyone else, and others will use it to advertise real stuff, and although the eRepublik team did say they will stop this from happening, how far can they actually control it on the long term?

I’m not being pessimistic, but I honestly think no ads is more sustainable as time goes on.

That's a good point Varlosh, but I feel that if the eRepublik team can keep track of people for account sitting, and for multiple accounts by tracking the IP addresses of citizens I feel that spamming on the AD system should be relatively easy for these guys. Interesting first article and I look forward to hearing more from you. Vote up and subscription coming up 😃
