Join the new world

Lana Smith was an ordinary little girl like the most. She and her friends have prepared for Halloween night for days. They were extremely excited! Half a day Lana begged for her mother to let them go for the trip without parents. They are big enough to go alone, she thought. „We just go out for a few hours” - she said, and sadly her mother allowed Lana to go alone. What bad can happen anyway?

It was quiet dark when the children met in the local square to start their trip, but noone thought how dark it will be later.. For two hours everything went well. Lana weared a dead chicken dress, while the other children dressed up in other bloody costumes. They almost finised their route when they reached the last house of the street.

An old women lived there, who never moved out. At least noone has ever seen her outside. The locals only knew that she is a woman that, they heard her screams at some nights. The children in school gossiped that the woman is a witch!

Their parents told them not to bother the old woman, but the girls wanted more candies, and the boys some more fun at the end.

The girls with Lana at the front ringed the door bell. The door itself looked like the gate of hell with it's dark brown color and aged, gothic design. Slowly, the door opened and the little Lana with half opened eyes by the fear and curiosity politely welcomed the shiluette. All the children were in quiet like never before in their life and waited the shape to say something.

Suddenly a loud crash happened upstairs. A stupid boy throwed a small stone inside the room and broke the windows. The shape disappeared, but the door remained open. The children heard the painful screams of an old woman, and despite their fear, together they entered the house. They made a big mistake, at least Lana did!

They searched the house for the woman, but they found nothing until they reached the last room upstairs. They stepped to the room's door and opened it. It was full dark in the room, but as some light came inside through the windows, they saw a shiluette. The same which opened the main door before.

Lana searched for the switch of the lights on the wall. Something, something.. She found it! Tried to switch it on, when the lights go on in the room! But it was not a light by bulbs! In the middle of the hall an old and ugly woman with a knife in her left hand and a half dead, headless chicken in the other was continously spoken. Noone understood what she were talking about, as it was in another unkown language. The chicken suddenly jumped out from her hand and started to run away!

It's a normal thing that the chicken has some life inside after we cut it's head down. For a few minutes.. But these children scared so much that they ran as fast as they never did, ran out of the house, ran out fo the world! More than a dozen children, little boys and girls ran, ran and ran faster and further..

Next morning the telephones in the neighbourhood were ringed quiet soon. In every house. The questions were simple: „Did Lana sleep at you?”, „Did you see Lana?” „Do you know where Lana is?”. But the answer was always the same: "No."

That night a child disappeared. Disappeared in a dead chicken costume. The police worked on the case too, but they didn't find too much things except two:

- The poor chicken stopped running about two hundred meters far from the old woman's house, and died next to an old military training ground, currently used by a game developer company.
- The police also found the head of Lana's dead chicken costume inside the basement of her house. Only it's head..

Noone ever knew what happened really, but Lana's body was never found. The old woman died soon after the incident. However, the locals still hear that painful scream sometimes, but it's not a scream of an old woman, it is a scream of a little girl now.

The boy who broke the window with the stone, is now working for the game developer team, where the body of the chicken found. Since he is with them, they started to use a new symbol, a new 'logo' in the game when an error occures. It is a headless chicken.. When an error happens the boy always say something. Maybe swearing, as his collegues never understand it. Never, because it is in another unknown language...

More and more little girls and boys playing with their game now, and see the headless chicken more often. Beware the headless chicken! It is scarier than ever, and Halloween is coming............!!!!
