Introduction

Before I leave I would like to add a note about the media in the New World. This article mays cause some controversy, but that can't be helped. The controversy in question revolves around slander and ignorance of the media code of ethics.

Argument

I received this email, shortly after creating my news paper (names have been blanked out:
Gentle publisher,

Perhaps it isn’t the first time that I write you about this. If it’s so I would want to excuse to you in advance.

I noticed the article you published in the last minutes, and I wanted to submit you an offer. My unit, ??????????, has created a service to make soldiers and friends vote interesting articles to make them more visible, for a reasonable price, a lot cheaper than other services of the same kind.

If you are interested I am willing to offer you to try our service with a good discount:

- 10 VOTES for 90 cc.
- 25 VOTES for 150 cc.
- 50 VOTES for 225 cc.
- 100 VOTES for 445 cc..

Every vote is checked and registered, and if you want you will receive a complete report of the action. You just need to contact me in case you accept the offer, to make payment and obtain the immediate start of the action.

To know more about us or our voting service I give you the link to our official site: ????????????
In any case feel free to contact me for more informations about this or other services we offer.
.

What? The paying of people to vote for an article and there is more than one group doing it. Why wold you do that? Not only is it wrong but it lends a bad name to eIndia, the Military Unit and, publishers who write bad articles and get votes for them. The practice of paying for popularity is not too dissimilar to the advertising of bodies in pornography. This message not only shocked me but made me feel as though the media was corrupt and rank.

I hope anybody who is reading this and participates in such a s candle stops and prevents others from doing so. It is corrupt, morally wrong and utterly disappointing. eIndia has a good name and I would hate to see it tarnished by back-alley deals. Viva la India.

This is my last article before I go camping and I hope that it leaves everyone something to think about. When I return I hope India is in better shape, the media especially.

I refrained from posting this article earlier as it may cause readers to argue with me or for me but that is good. Provocation is what this article us based on. Popularity shouldn't be bought, but earns through blood, sweat and tears.
