The Map of Europe (Day 2795/2796)

Day 2,795, 04:28 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Max Blue
There was a high level of demand for another 'map of Europe' article so here is another. I will continue doing these as long as people want to read them and I have time. Here is what is happening in Europe:

This is what Europe looks like today.

The two red circles around green regions are Germany. Over the last few days Germany has fought back against the Canadians that were occupying their nation. Canada has been reduced to one region in Germany and Canada has lost their region in the Netherlands. Germany has also pushed into a region of France as France have almost no MPP's. Germany took this French region to try and help Chile by blocking the Slovenian approach (for an attack) on Chile in Northern France. However Slovenia took other regions to border Chile.

Chile is highlighted in orange. Chile have many opponents who would like to kick them out of Northern France. These include Poland (circled in yellow next to Chile), Slovenia in the South, Colombia (who occupy French regions next to Slovenia) and the USA who are highlighted in yellow to the West of Chile.

The USA also holds regions in Spain although they have been struggling in the last day or two to hold regions against Spanish resistance forces. The red circles in the bottom left show the Spanish regions, while the yellow circles show US occupied regions. It is worth noting Portugal still occupy most of Spain.

While we are talking about Southern Europe the red circle in the South shows Italy who have a number of regions occupied by Serbia. Serbia remains strong with regions of Italy, Iran, Albania, the UAE and Turkey. Over the last few days Serbia has expanded (the large yellow circle in the South East) and Turkey currently only hold just one region.

The small yellow circle around green regions is Macedonia who have fought back in the last few days against Greece who had wiped them. Currently Macedonia has two regions.

Wiped nations and nations with one region

Romania are the sizeable yellow nation in the East (you can't fail to see them) who are occupying regions in Pakistan, Ukraine and Belarus. Belarus have one region left and Ukraine also have one region. Back to Northern Europe, the UK also has one region while Austria and Switzerland have no regions. However Switzerland are likely to gain regions in the near future as their resistance force is strong and Austria might gain a region too as both are occupied by Slovenia who are likely to be distracted by battles elsewhere.

Ireland and Lithuania continue to have no regions and they will have a difficult future ahead as they are occupied by strong nations who are unlikely to make peace agreements with them (agreeing to pay for a region/regions back). The best chance these nations have of securing a region is waiting for determination to build and allies to be able to fight for them or exploiting the occupiers being busy with other important wars.

Estonia continues to defeat both Latvia and Finland in RW's, however Latvia and Finland regularly win the MPPed battles. Other than this there is little activity currently in the Scandinavian and North East region of Europe.
